An Amazing Experience with Topsfield Bakery We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Topsfield Bakery for our wedding cake! From the moment we started planning, the team was incredibly professional, helpful, and reliable, and the final product was absolutely perfect. One of the highlights of our experience was the cake tasting to-go box. It was such a fun experience! We got to try a variety of flavors, and we loved every single one. It was a memorable afternoon spent with family and our best man as we sampled the different cakes, and we couldn’t stop talking about how delicious each flavor was. Ultimately, we chose the Viennese Torte and carrot cake flavors, and they were both fantastic. The cakes were moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the frosting was to die for! The delivery was incredibly reliable as well. We never had to worry about missing a deadline or any mistakes. The Topsfield Bakery team took care of everything and made sure the cake was delivered right on time, exactly as promised, which gave us one less thing to think about on the big day. As for the cake itself, it was a huge hit with our guests! So many people complimented us on how delicious it was, and it definitely lived up to the high expectations we had. The Viennese Torte was rich and decadent, while the carrot cake was flavorful and perfectly spiced. The icing was especially great. The cake was not only delicious but beautifully decorated, and it made a stunning centerpiece at our wedding. A special thank you to Philip Frye, the special occasion coordinator, who made the entire process smooth and easy. Philip was extremely helpful, attentive, and responsive, and he ensured that everything went off without a hitch. We worked with Topsfield Bakeshop for our wedding in April 2025! My husband has always been a big whoopie pie fan (and we have a history ordering from Topsfield Bakeshop) so it was a no brainer to us to order their mini whoopie pies as the main dessert for our wedding.

We first got connected with Topsfield Bakeshop in July 2024 and were able to do a take-home cake tasting later that month. Talk about tough decisions! The cake flavors were heavenly, so much so that we didn’t end up deciding what cake flavor to go with (lemon raspberry torte) until weeks before the wedding.

The mini whoopie pies were the main attraction. We got a variety of flavors, but the red velvet and s’mores were our favorites. Topsfield Bakeshop also offers gluten-free and dairy-free options, which we took advantage of! As I mentioned, the mini whoopies pies were the primary dessert option, but the lemon raspberry torte was heavenly and so refreshing!

We have to recognize Philip, who helped us with all of the details and planning. Philip was an absolute pleasure to work with. This is a review strictly for the business and not the cakes. I had emailed and talked on the phone with the event manager yesterday about wanting a small cutting cake for my wedding. She assured me the date was available but said to call back ASAP for the deposit (which you can only pay over phone). I emailed her back saying I would call her the next business day as the business day had ended when I received her message. She emailed me the next morning at 8:45 AM saying no problem there was still availability. I called at 11:15AM that same morning and was told I would be called back. I had already agreed to price and sent over images of desired cake. At 12:30 PM I was called back to tell me that they could no longer accommodate me and my date, after emailing me 3 hours prior saying that they could. I had also made it clear in my email last night I would be calling this morning. I understand that this business is a first come first serve basis but we already had communication in the works.
