Dollar General — Local services in Town of Alexandria

Noticing the newness begin to wear off. Shelves are partially stocked - fewer and fewer employees to do the work and those working are supposed to be doing everything. Im sure the store makes money - stop skimping on the staffing 9/6/2020 - Now they aren't even staying open as advertised. Handwritten signs stating their closed - typically in the late afternoons. 3 times i've gone during advertised hours and see they're closed. 9/8/2020 - Now they aren't accepting cc/debit - Cash only... 9/9/2020 - Was contacted by Dollar General rep and informed of the status of the A-Bay store. Seems there are both on-going electrical and internet issues that they are addressing and hope to have resolved soon. Internet should be fixed today or tomorrow and the store is currently open running on generators for power. It will be cash only until internet is fully restored. Going to the Dollar General is always a great time. I always go in for 1 thing and leave with twenty..i love all dollar generals, I don't think I've ever had a problem with any of them. I'm always adding and updating my reviews for them because I go to so many I don't think of them. This time was for laundry soap and cat litter i always find everything I need plus some. I love Dollar General. I think Dollar General is the best store ever. Especially springtime, when they get all their new cute stuff out!! They always have stuff.
