I have never been to this store until this past Friday and I will never return. I walked in and looked around and thought how cute it was and was excited to shop. I was there to make a return. My daughter received a gift of a sweatshirt in August of 2025. The tag was still on the sweatshirt along with the original bag it came in and the receipt. The sweatshirt did not fit her properly. I went into the store walked up to the register and advised that I needed to return this. I was in no way expecting a monetary refund but store credit was fine. I was told I would receive store credit. I started to look around and the girl that was helping me must have spoken to another employee. The sales person approached me to advise that because the sweatshirt was purchased in June it was past their return date and there was nothing they could do for me as they did not even have that sweatshirt in the store anymore. She was kind and apologetic but that doesn't help me being stuck with an over priced sweatshirt. I asked again I said are you sure there isn't something you can do and she responded that it was their store policy. I actually felt bad for the young girl that had to deliver this information. I said the tags are still on I have the receipt and bag and she said she was sorry. I understand you are a small business and I am all about supporting small business but I think this is a terrible policy. You may want to consider that you lost a customer who will spread the word about your store. I will never enter your stores again and will let everyone know of the experience I had. My family and I are frequent customers of Spruce, Little Spruce, and now Spruce market. Unfortunately I no longer think I can support the store after, an episode today. I tried to use a pair of decorative tapered candles that I recently purchased for a party last night and they would not light after repeated attempts. I went in to return them today In their original box and was told that they don’t return “used items“. I explained that I wanted to use them, but was unable as the wicks would not light. I was told that they couldn’t be certain that I hadn’t “cut the wicks“ . I was not offered an exchange, refund or store credit for the $10 item !! Read moreVery disappointed while three saleswomen behind the counter did not say hello as I entered the store for the first and last time. (It was like a pretty woman scene, BIG MISTAKE)! No saleswomen ask if they could help anyone in this lovely store. One customer had a handful of clothes in her hand. All customers were being ignored while a young woman kept voicing loudly how she didn’t have enough hours and didn’t understand why? This being the first time I had questions.
