Relaxed and friendly ambiance. Excellent drinks, food and service. The bruschetta is different and delicious. The hanger steak and salmon were perfectly prepared. Highly recommend
Edited 10/18/25. Tonight I switched my original five star rating of Grezi to two stars ..not for the food which was again excellent but for the service. I eat out a lot and appreciate it when management cares about keeping the customers happy and building relationships. Things go wrong in restaurants and good servers and managers address the problems right away.. It took more than 90 minutes to get our entrees. What annoyed us the most was that we never received even an apology for the delay. At one point the server came over and flippantly said "they are making your entrees now...it's Saturday night and the kitchen is backed up.". Ok...we have eaten at Grezi on multiple Saturday nights and never waited nearly this long. Our biggest annoyance was the server didn't even apologize for the delay and didn't seem to care. At other quality restaurants such as 800 Maple or Giancarlo the manager would have come over to apologize and offered something like comping desert (especially since we were celebrating a birthday)or one of the appetizers. Let me add this...it's not about getting something comped...it's about management showing they care about their customers.. A sincere apology would have sufficed. This seems to be a management and kitchen problem and after tonight I would encourage you if you are thinking of dining out on a Saturday night to find another restaurant where management actually cares about repeat business and customer relations. ...at least until Grezi gets its act together in the kitchen and in the front of the house. As for us...we will take Grezi off our list of favorite restaurants for the time being and encourage our friends to do the same.
As a follow up I did send a private email per management's comments, but I never heard back from them. Things sometimes go bad in excellent restaurants. Seems like the request for more info may have just been for Facebook show. It's a shame. Grezi is an excellent restaurant but if you have an issue there don't expect it to be addressed. My advice at this point .. why take the chance. There are so many other...
Read moreSunday, August 4th my companion & I had brunch at Grezi. It was not my first visit, I was at their opening day in September 2023 and soon thereafter we became regulars visiting several times a week.
Brunch is served until 2 pm, I called to see if a 1:30 reservation was acceptable & was told yes, the kitchen stops preparing brunch at 2 pm but the restaurant remains open until dinner service. It was clear from the initial seating that our server was on a mission to have us in/out in a half hour, to end her shift.
As we were being seated, she asked to take our drink order, we needed a chance to look at the beverage menu, she proceeded to return two more times within 5 minutes for the drink order. We were feeling pressured. When she brought the drinks, she informed us the kitchen would be unable to make our brunch as of 2 pm, it was 1:36, there was time. We promptly placed our food order. The server did not return until she served our food, at this point our water glasses were empty & she had no interest in refilling them, until we requested so. Again, she did not return until my companions plate was empty and offered me a to go box. My meal was a quarter eaten, as I was awaiting a water refill and glass of wine. The wine menu was not on the table, so I asked if they still had the Cabernet Franc from France, her answer was not yes or no but the wines offered by the glass were listed so on the menu, she obviously does not know the wine list & did not offer to check with the bartender.
When she presented the check I told her I had $21.05 rewards in my Toast account that I wanted to use, she replied we will see? She brought back the payment & told me no points showed up. I brought up my account on my phone showing the rewards dollars, again she did not know where to find or how to apply them. She begrudgingly asked if I would like to see the manager, I said yes. At this point she returned to the server station, directly behind us with a loud exclamation “Jesus” we both heard & were shocked. The manager came to our table, professional/friendly & willing to resolve the issue, showing the server how to get into the rewards section. She returned with the updated receipt & asked us to move our beverages & conversation to the bar area?
The server...
Read moreMy below review was from my first visit. I just went back tonight very excited to have the wings again.
The bartenders were very nice and professional.
Unfortunately the wings were very, very salty. I shared this feedback with the bartender. He shared that he would tell someone.
For an high end experience it would have been nice for the manager or chef to come out and talk to me.
*Review below from my first experience
Wow !!
I moved to Buffalo about 5 weeks ago from Los Angeles. Along with that, I have traveled extensively around the world.
I share that to let you know that my pallet has high expectations.
And it was not disappointed.
My friends and I started off with their bread basket, and their krispy lemon pepper wings. I have been dying for some lemon pepper, and had not found any until our meal here.
Beyond delicious.
To quench my thirst I had a Presecco cocktail. I did ask for less ice on my second, and the server did not miss a step and said, “sure”.
My entree was the smash burger.
The great smell immediately touched my nostril, and I couldn’t wait to devour it.
Again, delicious.
From the perfect bun, to the texture, and taste of the meat, everything came together.
We did put just a tad bit of salt on the fries.
Was too stuffed to try the desserts.
Will for sure be visiting my new favorite spot...
