Ethan Allen — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

For the price I am absolutely disappointed in the quality and service combined. IKEA quality and service is better. I had a problem with the condition upon delivery. I called them right away. I sent pictures snd had to explain in emails. Many days later they had some “furniture repair” service call me. I shouldn’t need “furniture repair” for new furniture that is relatively expensive. Never again will I purchase from them. I could have become a lifelong customer instead I will warn anyone I speak with. Also everything is custom and not returnable. And be very careful when ordering because even the most obvious things can be missed and they will blame you for not spelling it out.

Edit: since the furniture arrived that way (and they decided to deliver in the single 1 hr window I asked please NOT to because of a meeting) I shouldn’t have to deal with “furniture repair” for the “fabric pull” . For anyone reading the furniture also SQUEEKS. The design isn’t laid out how one would naturally expect for what is selected either. I will be letting everyone know what my experience was. For Ethan Allen the customer service experience considering the price was horrific. Given the option I’d pick ikea over them...

I hope their products are better than their customer service. Don't count on getting your couch anytime soon. I'm truly disgusted with the lack of customer service, communication and transparency. Had we known the couch was going to take 5+ months to get here,we would have gone somewhere else.

We ordered a leather couch Feb 2023 with an expected delivery date of April 18th. Here we are at the end of June and we still don't have a couch. We are on our third missed delivery date (April 18, end May., Mid June) Their design consultant failed to tell us there was a back order on the leather we ordered but assured us it's going to be beautiful. Right now it's looking pretty invisible.

July 7th update. I've added a picture of the couch that was delivered today. It's exactly as I expected.. ANOTHER DELAY. Delivery team was extremely nice on the phone as they informed me despite the multiple calls this week and my confirming I would be available today both verbally and via their dispatch tracking website, the team did not load my couch...

Our recent furniture selection and purchasing experience with Ethan Allen, East Setauket has been wonderful. Working with our Design Consultant, Victoria, has been an absolute pleasure. She was eager and willing to help us in our quest to enhance and update our home furnishings. Her expertise and advice on selections for our living room and dining room furnishings and wall art were incredible. Victoria worked very hard with us to find just the right pieces, fabrics and wall covering that blended beautifully with our existing wall colors and window treatments. She came to our home and was absolutely on point with all her ideas and particularly with furniture placement within our rooms. She was both professional and a joy to work with.
