A little over a year ago, I ordered two premium leather recliners which totaled just over $7,000, including the leather protection program from Guardian. I recently noticed that the leather was discolored on the headrest of one of the recliners. The recliner is just over 13 months old and there aren't any kids or pets in the home. I jumped through all the hoops to file a claim (which they required me to do both online and via the mail), which was denied. For $7,000, they should have happily made the situation right. There was more than enough profit in that sales contract for them to do the right thing. I filed a BBB complaint against Guardsman for the fraudulent denial of the claim. I see that Guardsman has received a rating of 1.05 out of 5 stars with over 333 customer reviews. I give LaZBoy 1 out of 5 stars here for selling me a policy from a company that does not honor their contracts. Obviously, LayzBoy must know of the shady reputation of Guardsman, yet they still are happy to sell these insurance policies to their customers, which makes them shady as well. The thing about making a short term profit at the expense of running a respectable business is that you come out ahead in the present but that Karma is going to come and get you in the future....

She told me that my furniture would arrive by the end of May at the latest. I signed the paperwork but did not get a copy as she had to fill in colors and other details that she had to find out. I paid the invoice in full, in advance.
It is now June and there's no furniture but a verbal disclaimer that they had noted on the paperwork that the furniture would be delivered on 6/15 or two weeks later. This was NEVER said to me at time of purchase and I was stupid enough to sign the paperwork without all the information in front of me.
I have called them for three weeks and they can't give me a definite date. This company is awful, they have one poor receptionist taking all calls and complaints and, after 3 weeks, I finally got to a manager who could only say that she does not have a definite date either and that she's waiting to hear from the factory.
Terrible, terrible service....you pay top dollar to a company that underhandedly covers information to get your money.
Three weeks past the promised delivery time and no firm delivery date yet. ...

If you have any problems they do not go through corporate Lazboy, this retailer is not even accountable to Lazboy. Don't be fooled into thinking you are buying a quality product backed by the Lazboy reputation when you shop here. I have been waiting for over 2 months to have my order fulfilled. They have attempted to deliver damaged furniture to me on two separate occasions now. After their policy of payment in full before delivery can be scheduled, I'm now out my money and still don't have the furniture I paid for. I would recommend you purchase furniture off Craigslist before I recommend that anyone shops here. Do yourself a favor and don't waist your time and money on these scam artists. I cannot even get someone to call me back and update me. After an intervention from BBB I was issued a refund and took my business to One Ten Home Furnishings and purchased a natuzzi set. Could not be more pleased with the quality of product and service that I received...
