After a decade with Golden Earthworm, originally on Long Island & now after the change to their own land in Vermont I could not be more satisfied!
As a long time Environmentalist I am sorry they can no longer grow here on LI because the housing crunch has made the land more valuable to it's owners than as a place to grow food for LI. That GE has decided to continue growing for LI'ders is our good fortune! No it's not truly local but since they are providing so many boxes of direct sale all crammed into one truck still means it's far less a fossil foot print S&S or WF!
The quality for the price simply can not be matched except @ a local F's Market & many of them ar not Organic as GE is! Unless you don't cook for yourself & eat out most of the time you simply can not find a better value & such a healthy diet as provided by GE any where on...

It's always so exciting to see what fruits and vegetables you might be erring from week to week. The newsletters are filled with some nutritional information, recipes, and updates on what's happening around the farm.
With health and nutrition starting from the bottom up we couldn't have asked for a better CSA program to be apart of. They run for 26 weeks and it's 26 weeks of blissfully delicious...
   Read moreBEAUTIFUL organic produce, grown by wonderful people. I’m in their CSA, and every Friday when I pick up my share is like Christmas morning — but with VEGETABLES!! I cook nearly all my meals BUT, since joining Golden Earthworm’s CSA , I’m not only cooking more than usual — I’m also stretching my skills and taste buds because every week is different (and not of my choosing). My creativity is blooming.
