I waited a long time by the deli counter until the employees took my order for a breakfast sandwich. The policy is that they give customers a receipt, the customer pays, receives a stamp, then presents that receipt to claim the order. The employee said she had the order for which I paid,, but when I presented the receipt, she ignored me, snickered, and handed my sandwich to a random person in the store. After I accidentally dropped an item, he scolded me, saying, "That’s why we have shopping carts." This was completely unwarranted. Given that they're the only store in town, it seems the manager feels entitled to treat customers poorly. On top of that, the store is overpriced and filthy. Avoid this store. I recommend bringing your food from the mainland or shopping at the Pines Pantry for respectful service.
