STAY AWAY!! Amateur furniture builders!! I first ordered an outdoor set from SLD. Dan said he could have it done in my timeline and we discussed material. He insisted cedar would be good for outdoors. A week before the agreed delivery date, and my 150 person party, Dan told me it was too much to handle And he couldn’t do it. This about 7 weeks from our discussions, all other options were sold out. After much discussion he said he could do it. He dropped the table, benches and side table and I payed $2500. The table didn’t even make the trip, the benches were already broken , table sagging and boards cupped. It was clear they had never built a 12’ table. Dan assured me he would fix it. About a month later, 8/2019 he picked up the benches and side table and agreed to remake them and said the table was a “learning curve” as they have never made on that big and outdoor. The bench legs weren't built well and it was a fall hazard. The bords would even hold a drink they were cupped and sagging so bad. After months of not having a table I had just purchase and back and forth, I told him I would pay the difference for a better material , like it should have been to begin with. Dan stopped responding for months. Finally I went to the store and Danielle assured me she would get it done but tried to say it was my fault and they were doing my a favor , not knowing her husband had already admitted the incorrect build. She assured me 2-3 weeks it would be done. At the 3 week mark I asked when it would be done. She said the wood was in drying donut wouldn’t warp. Another 2 weeks went by and I reached out. She told me it would be another week. Finally it was delivered almost 2 weeks later. Told me it was 1100 , and charged me 1200! I got home to view the furniture the bench legs were not addressed , the furniture was yellowing already and sticking. It was not even usable for my party the following week. Complete embarrassment. Now out $3,700.00!! Danielle assured me it would dry, but it was still yellow. I have it a month now and send a video of the finish being sticky in the heat and obviously finished with the wrong products, the bench legs still a fall hazard as they were too narrow, table still sagging as it STILL isn’t built correctly. Once again they take it to rebuild it. They return it with extended top boards once again cupping , center still sagging the “fixed” bench legs remade with standard 2x4’s, and 2 different Stain colors.    Read moreThe Furniture we ordered is nice and seems like it will hold up for many years. The experience, however, was absolutely horrific. We went to the store since it was recommended by a co-worker and at first seemed like it would work out great. When Danielle told me how long of a wait it would be to get the order, I told her that we might not do it because we were hoping to have something by Christmas. She said if we ordered that day, she would do us a favor and have it to us by the holidays. The piece was not delivered until mid February and when we called for an update in the beginning of December, we were told there was no chance it would be ready and that we can expect it 12-20 weeks from when we ordered it. I guess I should have had something put in writing about the delivery date being sooner as I was told it would be in the store. When the piece was finally ready, I received a phone call stating they could deliver it Friday between 12-5, this phone call was received on Thursday. When I told Danielle that this time does not work for myself or my husband since we both are working, she replied that this is the only days they deliver pieces. I gave a few other days other than Fridays during the week that could work for us she repeated they don't deliver those days. We were never told this information and also never given any heads up about the pieces completion estimate so we could potentially make this work. Ultimately her husband was able to work with us and deliver it the Saturday afternoon instead of Friday. This was after many back and forth phone calls with Danielle speaking very unprofessionally and again repeating that she was somehow doing us a "favor" despite us looking up the contract that was signed that stated they deliver Monday-Fridays between the hours of 2-5, which we could have made work. Overall the price we paid for the piece of furniture was not worth the hassle of having to deal with Danielle who was extremely rude and unprofessional. We tried to support a small business but ultimately left feeling like they could care-less about their customers and like we were somehow an inconvenience.    Read moreVery upset with my experience with this company. I was recommended by a friend who had work done with them. Drove to the store with my husband (first week of August) to chat about a few pieces being made. Danielle was too busy at the store to help so we took her card to send an email as to what we were looking for. Obviously while we were there we shopped around and bought a few things for our home decor.
The first time I emailed Danielle, took me 40 minutes to type up measurements, insert photos, list questions. The reply I received was, “Hey call me on my cell phone”. This turned into a phone tag scenario, finally, I called and was able to get through: I could tell Danielle was calling from the road and half listening. I also could tell she didn’t bother reading my email because she basically said they were too busy and to simply tell her the measurements over the phone. We ended the call by her telling me she would send me over some photos of inspiration as to what I’m looking for and what they made for clients in the past. She did mention that they were in the process of opening a new store and currently there’s a 10-12 week wait from deposit date for items to be made.
I never received any photos of inspiration. No response to my email. I sent a reminder text just asking if someone would be able to come out and check out my space (since I could tell email with photos and dimensions was unanswered) no answer. THEN about a month later Danielle texted me asking if I was ready to leave my deposit?
Yes, I was completely taken aback by a request for a deposit when she has yet to establish what I’d be looking for!
