The Home Depot — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

My wife and I found a bathroom faucet at another Home Depot and was out of stock, so I asked if they could see if another Home Depot stocked them. After going to two Home Depot saying they had them just to find out none were there - so last call was to Bell Port Home Depot, they showed they had 5 in stock and off we go. We get there and after looking there were none to be found. A few people there looked into it and we were still told we don’t have it even though the computer still said there were 5. At this point an employee by the name of Dawn was determined to get to the bottom of this. She was looking all over and even pulling out rolling ladder to look on top but could not find it. Let me tell you this woman Dawn I’m talking about was looking quite a while for us. Still it was no where to be found. She really was going over and beyond to help us find this faucet. Dawn kept not taking no for an answer still kept helping us to figure out where this faucet could be. Dawn finally found it and went the extra mile. That’s what we call good customer service. Thank you Dawn and Thank you Home Depot in Bellport for this lady Dawn....

I was attempting to purchase a weed wacker but the item was locked with a chain lock. There were no associates in sight so I walked to the customer service desk and told the girl I needed a weed wacker unlocked and she told me to ask someone in the Garden Department. I told her there was no one there and asked if she could call someone and she replied, “maybe”. 😳. After she called on the loudspeaker for someone and no one responded I walked around asking FOUR other associates (one of which was very rude and dismissed me) and no one had the key! Finally a garden department person responded but also didn’t have the key and got a ladder and got me the weed wacker I wanted from way up high. What I thought was gonna take me 5 minutes in and out to accomplish took about a half hour. The store was empty too. I usually shop at local small hardware stores or Lowe’s. Don’t know WHY I decided Home Depot this time. Next time definitely...

Aked two employees who weren't helping a customer for help, they said they would send someone over 10 minutes two other employes came over and asked if we needed help we said yes and they said okay, and walked away helped someone else. then the guy we originally asked came over and asked if we needed help we said yes and he stood there. we said five times we needed help getting something off the top shelf. he was like let me get a ladder with an attitude, theb complained the whole time getting it off the shelf, threw it on the ground and walked away. when checking ouT cashier also gave us an attitude when the other product we brought rung up by the foot, we asked about it because the sign did not state it was by the foot. Yet another employ with an attitude, wouldn't direct us on how to get it cut either when asked. I would never go to this home...
