Awful experience. I called this store to see if they had items in stock before taking an hour of travel time to and from Bellport. The lady at Step In Time told me she had smaller sizes of the contemporary shoes I was inquiring about, only to find out when we got there that they did not have any smaller sizes. "Everyone makes mistakes " and that is fine. I looked past the issue and proceeded with a purchase for the tap shoes I still needed and left the store. When I got home I opened my bag to find that she also gave me the wrong size tap shoes to bring home, that I just spent over $200 on. She did apologize and said the owner would call me the next day. Four O'clock the next day has come and gone with no phone call. My time is just as valuable as anyone else's. I Was not offered anything for the inconvenience. On top of this mess, I had to take a trip into the complete opposite direction to Smithtown to get the other shoes I needed. As well as a second trip to Bellport. I will never visit this store again and do not recommend. Would also like to mention that I was able to exchange sizes, and they are damaged. For the amount of money I paid for these shoes there should not be any scuffs on them brand new. I refuse to take a third trip out there. Absolutely...

Just had the absolute best pointe shoe fitting of my entire life. I have never, ever put on a pointe shoe that didn’t hurt before I even started dancing. I apparently have very difficult feet to fit a pointe shoe on due to wonky proportions here and there, and Maria was patient, put me in so many different shoes, listened to my feedback, and knew what I was going to say before I even said it just by looking at my feet. She has connections to so many studios around LI and was so helpful to connect me to a few places that have adult ballet classes, and even said she’d text the owners to vouch for me. This store is fantastic!!! I called them today looking for something specific for my daughter. Not only did they have what I could not find elsewhere, but they had multiple options waiting for her in her size when we arrived! I had the exact same experience over the summer when I called them looking for a different item. The customer service is excellent.
