I absolutely LOVED my experience with Adam and Tommy at Fine Line Willy! I had been following the shop on Instagram for a while, so had a good sense of what to expect in terms of the vibe, but I had no idea how above and beyond the whole experience was going to be. Adam and Tommy were both there to greet me when I got there, and from the minute I walked in, it felt so homey and welcoming. I loved all the fun items throughout the shop! Growing up I always loved rainbows and lots of color, and there is no shortage of this in the shop. I also have always loved plants, and am an avid plant momma and gardener myself, so seeing plants throughout the shop helped make me feel at home as well. Adam was so honest regarding my tattoo idea, and was intentional about asking questions to really narrow down what I was genuinely looking for. We made so many adjustments to my original idea based on his suggestions, and I am so grateful for his collaborative approach. During previous tattoo experiences, there was some collaboration, but not the level of Adam. There is a next level care that goes into his approach, and you really get to go behind the scenes and work with him as he draws out your idea. The tattoo experience was a vibe. Great music, good conversation, and Adam explained after care and expectations very clearly at the end of the appointment. Tommy and Adam also gave some goodies to go home with, which was a sweet, more sentimental surprise that I totally didn't expect. I already know I have no reason to go anywhere else for my future tattoos. Adam inspired me to think about my future tattoo designs in a completely different way - no more Pinterest ideas ;) - and I am so grateful for that. It was refreshing to learn about what goes through the tattoo artists mind, or at least Adam's, when he was working through my idea WITH me. If you have an open mind and are open to the tattoo artists perspective, I can guarantee you you'll walk out with a design that you absolutely adore, and could've never dreamed of yourself. I have returned time and time again to Adam and now Tommy for tattoos. Let's start with the environment - you are literally walking into what feels like a living room. I love being the only one getting tattooed. Let's be honest, some tattoo shops, while still doing a great job, can be wildly intimidating. This is not the case here. You feel like you are walking into their home. They are incredibly kind and welcoming. It is this safe space to be authentically you...always. Onto the actual work - the space is incredibly clean. I have had multiple, very well designed, tattoos added to my collection here. Each are carefully designed - nothing you can find on the internet - unique to what I am looking for and edited until they are perfect. Placement is not just slap and go - they make sure you move in the mirror, see how it feels and truly love it before making it a permanent part of your body. The actual tattoo process, which I feel is the shortest process, is also lovely and without issues. Always checking in to see how you are doing and making sure you are comfortable. At the end, they give you a to go care package, I won't ruin the surprise here but it is adorable. I wish I could give them more than five stars but Google hasn't set that feature up yet. Update: Got another tattoo! This time, my mom’s birth flower together with my birth flower. Another piece of my story. Love chatting with Adam during a clean, painless tattoo in his amazing shop. Love watching him take my words and ideas and just freehand draw exactly what I pictured!

When the proposal form opened, I sent in my idea - silhouettes of my boys - and when I sat down with Adam at Fine Line Willy, he listened to my story and then improved my idea. He asked for current pictures of my boys, so my husband texted us a couple, and then he drew out perfect silhouettes of them. He considered sizing and placement. We checked and double-checked and then it was go time! Didn’t feel a thing. Conversation was great. The studio is incredible and nostalgic in the coolest way. And then my tattoo was done and perfect! Also - the healing process was beyond - like, I put on my moisturizers, but the piece was perfect and had the easiest healing from the word go. Overall, a great experience working with an incredibly talented artist and awesome human for an amazing tattoo that tells my story. I feel SO proud of this piece and I love when people ask about it, which they do often!!...
