When most people go to Springville they wouldn't realize on a Wednesday the whole town is a buzz. That's actually due to the fact that the long-standing business that took care of all of the sales of Barnard animals and overstock from farmer's market it is gettners. Family run business for longer than I know. If you're looking for that fabulous fine they've got a bunch of vendors people getting rid of things from their homes vendors who do it for a business and always over the good deal on cheese and plants. If you're wondering why someone on Main Street is cooking chicken and there's flags out at this place and yard sales on a Wednesday it's because everyone knows that people flock from miles round every Wednesday to buy weird stuff that they don't need or maybe they do at well get Gentner market. The Springville Auction has been a staple in this small town for my whole life and then some. It's a great big yard sale for the most part, with fresh fruits and vegetables, Amish made goodies and cheese from Cuba NY. You can find an abundance of plants for your garden, flowers and vegetables both. There's a bunch of piles of stuff that they auction off in the afternoon, buy a big pile for one price. They also auction off livestock, chickens, ducks, rabbits, geese, pigeons and a whole bunch of other animals, like guinea pigs etc. The auction is not what it used to be years ago, there aren't nearly as many vendors, but its still a nice place to visit if you're in town...

Please note place has new owners and has remained open. Open year round every Wednesday. Awesome place. Sadly this place closed after well over 100 years. Year round every Wednesday except one year my Dad told me a Christmas storm made the roads treacherous. Four generations of my family went there nearly every week. It was a very sad day for me when I heard the news, I felt like I lost a very dear friend. I had looked forward to bringing my eventual grandchildren like my grandpa brought me.
