We had an awful experience at Fiesta Bamba. We we’re told upon arrival the restaurant was very busy and while we could get a table, the wait for food would be between 30-40 minutes, which was fine. We were seated and our waitress brought our chips and salsa and took our drink order, brought back our drinks (no issues here) and took our food order. When our food arrived, my wife and I both received the wrong entrée (we had both ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas, and we were given the Quesadilla Mexicana). Our friend was also given the wrong side with her main dish, and I was missing a side of refried beans. Our waitress had not been the server who delivered our food, so when our waitress came to check on us, we told her we had been given the incorrect entrée’s. She proceeded to tell us that we were wrong and that was what we had ordered. When we insisted that we had ordered the enchiladas, our waitress pulled out her order sheet to prove we had ordered the Quesadilla, only to read off that we had, in fact, both ordered the enchiladas and that was what she had written down. With that issue now resolved, we were told it would probably be another half hour to get our correct food, so we both opted to stick with the quesadilla. I asked for some hot sauce and another margarita and my wife asked for some of the enchilada red sauce for her quesadilla. Our waitress came back with the missing side of beans, and the hot sauce and red sauce, which we were told would have been an extra $1.50 each, but there would be no charge due to the order mix up. The fact that this restaurant does not simply have bottles of hot sauce to choose from that doesn’t cost extra puzzles me. She also brought me my margarita, which was not the same flavor size or even color as the first margarita that I had ordered. At the end of dinner, our waitress offered us a free (single) Mexican Ice Cream, and showed us on the bill that I wouldn’t be charged for my 2nd (incorrect) margarita. When she brought the bill back, she informed us her manager wouldn’t let us have the free margarita, so I had to pay for the incorrect drink anyway. In addition, the two sauces that were supposed to be free were not. The fact that we were given the wrong food, and then told that we were the ones who had made a mistake, coupled with a manager who couldn’t be bothered to care about unsatisfied customers, pretty much made up our minds that we’ll never...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing experience at Fiesta Bamba and feel compelled to share my negative review. My evening at this Mexican restaurant was marred by numerous issues that left a sour taste in my mouth.
First and foremost, the service was abysmal. It took an astonishing 25 minutes for our server to even acknowledge our presence at the table. The only thing that kept us from leaving immediately was the chip and salsa, which was admittedly quite good. However, even that couldn't make up for the rest of the experience.
We decided to order an appetizer, but it never made its way to our table. We patiently waited for our entrees, hoping that they would salvage the evening. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting an excruciatingly long hour and 15 minutes before anything arrived.
Finally, our waitress made an appearance, and we politely inquired about the status of our food. We were met with a lackluster response, as she simply apologized for the delay and informed us that they were busy. Her indifferent attitude made it clear that our satisfaction was not a priority to the staff.
After enduring another minute of waiting, we decided that enough was enough. We left a $20 bill on the table to cover the cost of the few beers we had consumed and walked out. It was evident that our patronage was not valued, and we didn't want to risk the possibility of receiving subpar food or worse.
Overall, my experience at Fiesta Bamba was extremely disappointing. The server's lack of attentiveness, the missing appetizer, the excessive wait time for our entrees, and the dismissive response from the waitress all contributed to a thoroughly unpleasant evening. I would caution others against dining at this establishment, as it is clear that customer satisfaction is not a...
Read moreAs Springville residents, we’ve had such bad food & service at Fiesta Bamba that it has been 5 + years since our last visit. Because it was a Sunday (not much else open and needing somewhere to have dinner) we decided to give it a second try. The food and service is as bad as the buildings interior and decor .. all in need of a major facelift and attention to detail (are the unfinished ceilings even legal?).
We ordered several ala’carte items. The chilie renous is NOT FRIED and served with chewy shredded chicken in a slightly roasted poblano (with the skin still on). The burrito doesn’t come with several standard ingredients. You have to pay extra (ok, no problem) but then you have to convince them to put said ingredients inside the burrito instead of you having to do it yourself at your table. As my son said, isn’t that why you go to a restaurant, so they do the work for you? Yes, child, you are correct. The rice was neither warm nor cold. FYI, rice held above 40 degrees & below 140 degrees is a major food born illness instigator. The mole sauce was all sorts of wrong and had a distinctive taste & aroma of being burned (and possibly made with Hershey syrup). Guacamole, Cheese Sauce (otherwise known as Queso?) & Mole ordered as sides. We had to ask for chips.
They vacuumed the carpeting around all the tables as we were eating. Ummm, gross!!
The owner/manager lady came to our table to explain why what we ordered was served the way it was. There are no explanations of ala carte items but apparently it’s on you for not knowing how they do things.
Upon paying our bill, my daughter said, maybe we’ll try it again in 10-15 years. Yes, child, you...
