My experience with Emerling ford was awful.
I took in my 2010 ford fusion 6 speed manual transmission for an airbag recall. I dropped off the car at 7:45am and I was told this would take most of the day , which is fine. I was called at 2pm to pick up my car. I pick it up and start the car and the dash is lit up like a christmas tree. 3 lights stay on - emergency brake , TPMS Sensor and , open door. I troubleshoot the issues and I quickly determine this is a side effect of the maintenance.
I go in and the lady at the desk said she would get a tech to work on it right away. I remember my phone is still in the car and go out to it , still in the parking lot and find the tech in my car with the rear view mirror in his hands, he then says he found it that way , which is hard to believe as I was just in the car less than 5 minutes ago and it was still on the window! He then says he will fix it. He pulls out and brings the car into the garage.
I ask the lady how long this should take , She says it will only take 10 minutes. I say I am ok with it taking awhile I just don't want to be waiting around while they mess with my vehicle. she then insists it will only be 10 minutes and they just have to connect a cable. Spoiler Alert: It took an hour.
I have already made this a long story and I left out many details that show how awful, inefficient , and how they lack ANY sort of QC with the work they perform. The lights on my dash were there when the technician dropped the car off. They don't care.
EDIT: After Posting the review I received a call from Joe Duraski who wanted to express to me how disappointed he was to learn of this and what corrective actions he has taken. I will add that the company is very persistent and did want to make...
Read moreCAUTION, If you purchase a preowned vehicle, take it to a trusted mechanic FIRST. I bought a 2012 Toyota Tacoma with 48k on it. As it turns out the front rotors I had them replace had to be the cheesiest on the market. They warped in 10k costing me $400. I found out today there were three recalls in addressed. One of which cost me $1715 to repair. Toyota would have done it FREE! Now I have to submit to Toyota for reimbursement. I also found out BOTH rear leaf Springs are broken and there is another $1000. I got completely cored! Don’t trust them as far as you can throw them. 7/13/2021 Amendment. Since I first posted this, John the service manager reached out to me regarding my negative review. We discussed things and they agreed to replace my rear springs for$500. This work has been completed. Only thing is, the springs were NOT what was originally on the vehicle. They installed 2 leaves with a helper. Three leaves with a helper was original equipment. Toyota has reimbursed me for the recall work I paid for. I am still out the $400 for the brakes. Recall service they are using is inadequate. Vehicle was purchased in October. Recall was published in May and was not on their print out. They moved from 1 star to 3 in my book. Far from what I believe most people would...
Read moreI had an unfortunate mishap when the vehicle in front of me stopped prior to me being able to apply enough pressure to my brakes! Yep, I rear ended the vehicle in front of me. When I filed the claim with my insurance company, they rattled off a few repair shops that they work closely with. I have had mixed reviews in the past with auto body repair, so I was a bit hesitant to hear "their" shops. That changed the moment I heard Emerling Ford! I have never, ever had bad service through Emerling, and while my vehicle that was damaged was not a Ford, they did a spectacular job. They communicated with me every step of the way, understood my concerns and returned my vehicle to me in pristine condition. I am a tough customer. I expect businesses to put the same kind of honest effort into their product as I put into the product I deliver for my customers. Emerling Ford went above and beyond my expectations and I would not for one moment hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They EARNED my five...
