DeWitt Travel Plaza — Local services in Town of De Witt

This morning around 5:30 a.m., we arrived at the convenience store inside the plaza where the restrooms are. The attendant was lying on the counter looking at those who arrived we said " good morning" and she replies in bad way, she was looking at a guys ( of the black race) like they was doing something bad but they didn't. My husband took the only size of cup available and filed, then she approached in really horrible attitude like she was angry and she said in Very RUDE way " I have to charge you TWICE because you push the button twice my husband replies " I'm taking the only size cup you have " and she replies "yes we don't have the medium cup that's why I have to charge you twice " we said Ok you don't need be Rude" and she replies " I just need to let you know because then you will get mad when I've charged you twice ". My question for the store manager is: Why does she charge TWICE a medium cup? Why does she charge a large cup, and that's it? In the end, you are selling just a large cup, not two mediums, or maybe she put the cost of the second cup in her pocket. She's ripping off customers. Maybe that's the reason she doesn't give you the receipt. WHY THE ATTENDANT NAMED SHERRY NEED BE SO RUDE WITH PEOPEL AND put on people ALL HER EMOTIONAL TRASH I strongly recommend asking her if she wants be working in this place because she obviously is not happy !OH! But when the boss arrives, she switches her mood and pretends nothing happens and says, " Hello sweeter." I'll be upfront that I was only stopping for a quick washroom break and wasn't buying/eating anything. So I can't review or comment on the food, eating areas, etc. Although I hope it's not the norm, on my visit the women's bathroom was messy and had issues. The first stall I tried didn't have a working door latch. The next 2 stalls were yucky toilets and toilet paper all over (I realize it's not their fault when people act like pigs, in ways they sure wouldn't at home). As well, the toilets were really quite low down. I don't have problems myself but I know someone with very bad knees who would have had a whole lot of trouble using such a low toilet. I was very disappointed when we stopped today on our way to camp. Bathrooms were a mess. Dirty walls inside stalls, tp all over, toilets plugged, windows/doors in main entrance were filthy. Construction prohibited large vehicles to navigate. One camper had to exit using McDonald's drive through. McDonald's was very slow, not sure why as I saw at least 9 people but only one person training on register. missing items in orders, expired apples in kids meal, waited at least 20 minutes for order.
