Tompkins Cortland Community College — Local services in Town of Dryden

I go here and if you go here live off campus. RA's just go into your room whenever they want and then RD's try to make excuses for their mistakes. RA mistakingly took my saline solution out of my room because she thought it was bong cleaner but it was used to clean my piercings and now I have keloids on my earrings which could have been prevented if i was able to clean them properly. RA's also do random room checks and go through your things, they tell you that they give you a notice before they do room checks but it's just so you'll let your guard down. Maintenance barged in my apartment at 9 am without knocking, when i told them 1 pm. Also, my apartment was at 45 degrees and they refused to let me bring in a safety space heater. I have called Dryden code of conduct on them several times. Also, if you forget your student ID you're screwed and can't get in ur building and then ur stuck outside in the freezing cold because RA's claim that it is "not their job." I'm literally waiting for this college...

This school is more of a prison than a college. They send cops to the rooms of students who are sleeping and if you tell them they don't have the right to search without a warrant they leave (as they should) then claim to have found drugs. The RD Patrick when I went here said (and I have this record ) "I dont give a s**t about student rights". Then when he realized he was being recorded he tried to back track. Honestly go to Cortland not TC3. AND IF YOU GUYS AT THE SCHOOL DECIDE TO REACH OUT AND SAY I WASN'T ALLOWED TO RECORD REMEMBER NEW YORK IS A SINGLE PARTY CONSENT STATE! I CONSENTED! This school is the bottom of the barrel...

Very glad I chose TC3. It was the most welcoming school with professors who truly cared about not only knowing your name, but doing their best to help you succeed. People are quick to judge those who go to community college, but it was the best education I received. I recommend everyone start here or just go here depending on the degree they are looking for. Not only will you be saving lots of money, you will receive the best college experience. I wished I could have stayed here for my full four years. Not to mention they offer free tutoring, which saved me when I had to take the required...
