It's Aldis, what else can I say? They are moving to 100% organic, something very important to us. Our staples there are graham crackers, olive oil, coffee, eggs ($.59 a dozen), and organic vegetables such as "artisan" lettuce, multicolored carrots and baby peppers, hummus, and organic avocados. We've bought pork and beef roasts, ground meat, and frozen salmon, tons of it. It might not all be absolutely top quality, foodie grade -- it's not yet a Wegmans -- but the prices are great. A can of garbanzo beans is 2/3's cheaper than our next door grocer But whether or not all this works for you is up to you; groceries are a very personal choice. We just find this supplements our organic co-op nicely. Oh, and the Christmas stollen, either the marzipan or the plain (which isn't close to plain!) are delicious. I'm also impressed with the weekly sales of household items, shoes, kids toys...I wish they would bring back those nice zippered grocery bags. I love pretty much the whole store!!
