The court manager is very rude. My partner and I were playing against him and he was incredibly unprofessional.
He complained about my partners serve being illegal saying he was hitting above the waist. This is not true. Contact was made below the waist on every serve. He was mad he couldn’t return it.
He about had a meltdown because someone entered the court (about 20 feet away from him) while we were playing a point. He stopped everyone’s game and shouted to wait until the point is over. While I agree that you should wait until the point is over, it by no means interrupted his play and he handled it very poorly. He was angry he was losing and he took it out on everyone at the establishment.
When returning the ball after the point, he would smack it over and made us go get it.
I’ve been to this place a few times and every time he is there, he is always yelling about something. Last time, it was because somebody didn’t stop play when a ball crossed their court.
In closing, the court manager has an anger management problem. I’m surprised ownership doesn’t address this. I’m sure he has made several people not want to come back, which is bad for business. At least the level of play and rotations...
Read moreWould not recommend to anyone visiting Grand Island. Showed up on competitive night, as we play in the competitive league where we live. Players were rude and uninviting felt very cliquey. The owner came up to me and my girlfriend and essentially suggested we leave because we were not able to keep up after being there for less than an hour. He then proceeded to ask us to play a match before we left after realizing we were upset. Weird energy and insanely unprofessional business ownership. The match ended up becoming a close match 11-7. Which consisted of mostly slamming the ball at my girlfriend purposefully. Not to mention his girlfriend was the worst one there but had no trouble playing game after game. Overall rude owner, and cliquey groups who are unfriendly...
Read moreIf you love pickleball then be sure to check out this facility! We are from Waterloo, Ontario Canada and we decided to spend a weekend and play here. It's drop in play, so we decided to play the Saturday 9:00am open play all skill level session. It was rather busy but the staff are super organized and keep the games moving...paddles are boxed in winners and non-winners and alternately pulled in groups of 4 for the next available court. Great system. They also have higher skill sessions which I attended in the afternoon of Saturday and Sunday. Only downside is there isn't much of a change room for non-members. Relegated to the bathrooms. The staff and owners were helpful and very friendly. Definitely plan on going back for more. And they have cornhole...
