Lockwood's Greenhouses & Farm — Local services in Town of Hamburg

Went there to get veggies for my garden, they had half a folding table worth of sprouts, tomatoes and maybe one other vegetable. Then we walked around and spoke with presumably the owners. I had joked about my being 6’ tall and reaching up for the hanging basket and the old woman tried to tell me I wasn’t 6’ and was condescendingly adamant I was wrong….. about my own height -_- I gave them the benefit of doubt as it was mothers day weekend and I happened to to need a gift so I paid $40 a piece for three baskets. Even with watering and proper lighting, the plants didn’t last a week. They are now dead and I paid there guys $150 for really cheap plastic hanging baskets to never reuse. I would not come here for anything except desperation , and I will not be coming here...

I was told to contact someone about purchasing a particular plant in their greenhouse. I tried several times to reach her then gave up. I was then left a message by Donna saying I could purchase the plant. I tried everyday to contact Donna and left messages that we wanted the plant. It was going to be my husband's Father's Day gift. Well, today I got a call from Donna. Apparently she did not get ANY but the last of my message, and called to tell me the plant that wasn't for sale was sold. How can a business in the 21st century not have a better system for reaching an employee than counting on someone to MAYBE relaying a message? I am very unhappy. Wow! They have the best variety of unique trees that I have ever seen in WNY. They also take great care of them so that you get a healthy tree. Their in-house tree specialist knows her stuff and was incredibly helpful. I purchased 4 trees that I have been searching for for over 2 years, as I didn't want to take my chances online. This way I could see the tree before I purchased. I wish I only had more property to buy more of the trees they have in stock. It was the highlight of my week when I stopped in after making a wrong turn near the fair grounds. I couldn't be happier with their overall service...
