Fiesta Bamba — Restaurant in Town of Hamburg

THE GOOD Our food was very good. Shrimp tacos were amazing! THE BAD AND REALLY BAD: They were busy (Saturday crowd) hostess told us 25 minutes and that was fine. We told her we'd go to the bar, order a drink and wait there. Found 2 seats at the bar. It took 20 minutes for the bartender to get to us. Not really his fault as he was the ONLY bartender for the entire restaurant. Finally got 2 margaritas that had so much sour mix in them they were un drinkable. We were then seated and our server (who was a very nice kid) took our order (for 2.. nothing big) NOW comes the really bad part. After putting in our order, it took a whopping 41 minutes for our food to come out. 41 minutes for tacos , tamale and an enchilada. Unbelievable! Add that to the fact that I asked to speak to the manager and she would not come over to speak with us. We were ready to just walk out just as we were closing in on the 41 minutes. Glad we didn't because the food was truly good. They were obviously understaffed at the bar AND in the kitchen. Add that to the fact that the manager chose to not speak with us tells me that this restaurant needs to have a team meeting and the owners need to speak with their managers to make certain that they at least try to pretend that they care about their customers. There are other choices. Bottom line good food, pleasant servers but you might want to pack a lunch! 😕

*UPDATE WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES. The food is still very, very good, and the service was excellent!!! I believe we went shortly after the restaurant opened and they did not have all their ducks in a row yet.... they certainly do now! Glad...

First, the address is wrong for this place (the address is for the eye place in the plaza on the other side) I was excited to try this place as I love Mexican and love new things. Clearly Hamburg was excited for this as well, the place was packed at 530 on a Saturday night. The entire time we were there the line was to the door but it moved semi quickly. Our food took quite a while to come out, to be expected at that volume for a new place so I won’t even fault them for that. There were an abundance of servers for the entire place and even a few specifically for clearing tables. However, after we got our drinks we never saw our server near us again until our food came out. We were thirsty and wanted more chips and couldn’t get either until our food arrived. The food, was honestly underwhelming. The chicken fajita burrito lacked flavor, the chicken peppers and onions were just very bland. Even the cheese sauce over it had zero flavor, it was very strange. The rice was also bland and the refried beans were okay. My daughter had hated her taco salad and did not eat more than 3 bites. My husband had the beef chimichangas and honestly that’s why it saved it from a 2 star review, the beef inside the enchilada was pull apart tender and very very flavorful. We also ordered a single beef soft taco to try to it together and it was okay. I was a little disappointed in the Americanized thin Mexican blend cheese on it instead of the thick white cheese normally served on them. Overall our experience was mediocre. Last, the prices. They were far higher than their competition in the area.

I may try them again in the future but if I’m really craving Mexican I’ll stick...

Yeah we're not returning. In fact we almost left after waiting 15-20min for our waitress to even greet us after being sat. Food was absolutely delicious. I think all of the 1 star reviews speak for themselves about the service. I understand we visited on Father's Day. What I don't understand is why we were seated and two other tables got their drinks and food before we even saw our waitress. They brought us chips and salsa but then left before asking us our drink order. After we were done eating they asked if we wanted dessert but after I said no thank you she walked away before I could ask for the check. I don't like flagging down waitresses. If the food is eaten, the busers cleared the table and the table doesn't want any more food then obviously that means they don't want to wait 20 minutes for the check. We had to go to the cashier to pay it because as soon as she placed the check on the table she left again as I was taking out my card. Also why is the soda $4??? The lunch specials were decently priced but definitely do al a carte since they can't be bothered to ever check on...
