Pros: Lovely Venue (probably my favorite), friendly staff, they have a really cool Sphinx cat.
Cons: Trade-in value is the lowest in the area. Prices on new product can be up to double compared to other card shops in the area. When this was brought up, I was told by the owner to "Buy them all up and sell them on TCGPlayer to make some money."
Reason for the review: I had to cancel a pre-order in order to fix my car. Owner refunded me but said pre-order cancels are not something they normally do. The owner told me I was getting a deal with the preorder since the product is going up in price now, I re-stated that I need to fix my car. I was charged a shipping and taxes fee of 20% to cancel. They are already charging double MSRP and when I went in location to cancel my pre-order, I seen that the pre-order prices went up another $30. In the end, I essentially paid WNYgaming to sell my pre-order for more to the next person. The person who is going to get my pre-order is still probably going to pay the shipping & taxes I already paid.
Conclusion: Enjoy the Venue and the events, avoid the food and new product as it is overpriced. I cannot comment on the escape rooms since I have not done them. I love the place and it is a shame that this entire thing transpired.
Advice: If you're gonna charge scalping prices, don't do it to your local customers. Don't charge a restocking fee on hot product.
Edit, in response to the Owner's reply: I cannot even afford to purchase the commander deck anymore, nor did I mention purchasing it anywhere else when we talked on the phone. You tried to convince me to get it despite the fact that I literally cannot afford it anymore. So like, I'm the only one losing out in this whole situation. Final Fantasy has been reported as the best selling MTG set to date, you will have no problem selling it marked up to other people who can buy it.
I used to reccomend your place man, but like, really? Maybe trading cards aren't my thing at your place, but its gonna be my thing at someone...

Read moreI was looking for an escape room and decided to give this one a try. Oh my goodness, what an experience. I’ve done a number of escape rooms, and this is up there with the best of them in quality and fun, both presentation and the puzzles themselves. And the library of games and accessories to check out with passionate staff happy to show them off doesn’t hurt either. They only have one room right now, but you’re missing out if you pass...
