My husband and I go to Blasdell Pizza quite a bit because we live in a neighborhood right across the street. It’s just convenient. However, we’ve never really had a 5 star experience. Sometimes we find the person taking our order (on the phone) to be friendly and thorough (it’s literally ONE girl, have no idea what her name is though). Everyone else seems be monotone with zero personality at all. More often than not, when we pick up our order it is incorrect (missing ingredients on a sub, or adding ingredients we asked to please omit due to an allergy). This is something that is hard to check when we’re not eating in; so we always discover the error once we've already returned home. It’s just annoying. We continue to give them our business because again, it is SO close to our house (less than 1/10th of a mile)...but, jeeze Louise! —- Update 2021: Our orders are still always wrong. I’m not kidding when I say 9 out of 10 times our order is incorrect. This is frustrating as we’d prefer not to unwrap our subs to make sure they are correct before heading home. Read moreJust had an AWEFUL experience with Blasdell Pizza. I placed an order online for delivery. There is a section to write a note for the delivery driver. I wrote "please leave it at that front door. Thank you!" Simple, polite. I get an email that the order is out for delivery. A half hour goes by (I was less than 5 minutes away but very busy), nothing. I check the front door in one of my neighbor says they came, knocked at the door and left with the order. My wife calls and told them that I left a note, they have the audacity to say a note was never left. Then they called back and said that it's not policy to leave food at the door. So which is it? The website didn't mention anything about a policy. Another phone call later they ask my wife for permission to leave the food at the door, which was kind of in writing when the order was placed. The guy comes back with the same order from about an hour ago. The subs were room temperature. The fries were completely soggy, cold and inedible. Read moreI don’t know what’s going on here but I’m done with this place. We’ve given it the benefit of the doubt at least 5 times now and they continually disappoint. BBQ wings not put on the pit, undercooked pizza, toppings on pizza incorrect, long waits after pick up time, attitude from teenage staff, just bad tall around. The staff is obviously poorly trained in both food preparation and customer service. In the evening there never seems to be anyone over the age of 21 around let alone a owner or manager who actually cares. I don’t want to lump everyone together, there are some friendly employees there who seem to care, but I’ve also encountered some very rude non caring ones. The pizza tonight was the last straw. It was barely cooked. Peel back the cheese and it’s totally raw. How do you even put that garbage in a box and charge good money for it is beyond me, not worth the box it’s in. I get every place has its bad days here and there but this place has been going downhill for a couple years now.
