Adirondack Reflections — Local services in Town of Inlet

I usually love this shop, even though it is overpriced. Today, however, a store employee practically accused me of stealing after I returned to the store to report that an item I purchased was missing. I told her my daughter left a toy we had just bought in the store and my husband had put it on a shelf near the exit because he didn't realize I had paid for it. Instead of taking my word for it, she told me I would have to buy another of the same toy if I wanted it. She did not believe that we had left the item behind. Thankfully, another employee saw the toy in the spot where my husband said he left it (which was on a high shelf), and we were able to recover the item we bought. I told the first employee how disappointed I was that she did not believe me after I spent nearly $100 in her store. She did not apologize.
