I had searched everywhere in Rochester and surrounding towns for a flowering shamrock plant for my Granddaughter to carry down the aisle as she got married. Never dreaming it would be so difficult, I was unsuccessful. The places with answering machines never even called me back. The next step was the internet. Only Amazon could help but not in time for the wedding. And the cost was outrageous. I remembered seeing a beautiful garden store in Irondequoit last year near the High School. The helpful, knowledgeable lady who answered the phone at Genrich's went looking for a flowering shamrock and came back with wonderful news. They had two different kinds. It only took about 20 minutes from my home in Greece to arrive. I found both kinds of plants and because the price was so very reasonable for these beautifully healthy plants, I bought one of each! The experience I received from beginning to end was wonderful. No more huge nurseries for me. I have found my new garden center! I feel I must share my experience at Genrich’s today. I have wanted to before but hesitated until now. I have gone to Genrich’s for their flowers for years (they are beautiful) and spent a great deal of money there. I walked in today, during the holiday season, and didn’t get so much as a smile let alone a hello. I made my purchase and the girl at the counter was NOT pleasant at all, I thanked HER for my purchase but the kicker was the owner was right there and you would think that she would say Merry Christmas, thank you or at the very least good bye! Nothing! I have found the staff at Genrich’s to be very rude EXCEPT for the owner’s daughter. The owner, however, is a cold fish!
