Monte Alban — Restaurant in Town of Irondequoit

I love Monte Alban, but this location... I would never go again! No music at all and waited 43 minutes (not timed, just knew when a message was received) before we were even told our order was never received in the back. Who told us? Not our waitress, but the bartender who walked by hearing us ask each other how long it was taking. Our waitress never even came back to our table to apologize for the order not going in, and when we finally received our food an hour after ordering, DEFINITELY not well made at all. One had to be sent back bc meat tasted like literally beef jerky, and my tacos were stale. The rest seemed thrown together quickly to get it out. Not the quality of food or service that I would expect from Monte Alban, and I still received a FULL price tab and zero apology, not even a free drink! I don't ask for discounts as I know what it's like to own a business these days, but the server only got half of the tip while we gave the bartender the other half directly for actually looking out and letting us know what happened, and for her amazing attitude. I'm sure they split tips tho. If the owner reads this, I'm not quite sure this is the spot to continue in. We even left saying bye to the waitress nearest the door we walked out of (not our waitress) and not even a "have a good night" or an attempt at a response. So I've been going to Monte Albans ever since they first opened in Rochester . I've been to east ridge , Webster and Penfield and they were all very good Mexican. This is my first time at the Titus Ave location. I have to tell you it feels like they aren't even the same company. From the margaritas tasting horrible, way too many limes. To the Chiles poblanos being so uncooked it had the texture of a raw green pepper. To my wife's quesadilla that was just watery as heck. No I would not recommend this location to anyone. The bartender was the greatest part of our night. The food took forever to come out ,(57 min) and when it came out, the Carnitas were dry it was almost like pork jerky. The bartender, not the server, looked at the food, and said yes, that’s definitely dry. She brought the food to the back and our server brought it back within five minutes. The food seemed warmer, but the pork was still extremely dry not looking for anything free, but they did not even discount the bill.
