PadLOCKED INc- Escape Room — Local services in Town of Islip

My family and I have gone to MANY escape rooms in a few different states and always had such an enjoyable time. We have escaped and not escaped some- no problem. The pregnant lady (I don’t remember her name) was our game master. She walked us into the room and said “good luck” and shut the door. Every single escape I have ever done we were always given a back story to set the scene for where we were and what we were doing/searching for. We started off very thrown off because of this. Regardless, we continue on with the room. Towards the end when we were finishing the last couple of clues, we asked for a hint. She did not answer us over the walkie talkie, so we patiently waited. When we realized she probably was not paying attention we asked her again. When she finally answered us she gave us a sarcastic attitude. We were finishing up the last clue and our time ran out. EVERY escape room we have been to has let us go a minute over to complete the last clue. She comes on the walkie and says “Guys, you didn’t finish. Please meet me in the lobby” (again, we have been to many escape rooms where the game master meets you in the room and shows you how to finish the room.) This woman should not be a game master or she needs to be properly trained. I have never seen an escape room organized in this way where staff does not have passion for being a game master or interested in what they are doing.

Not to mention, she did not make us sign waivers (she should probably watch out for that) and she was concerned about turning the room over for the next group in enough time. I recently had the most incredible escape room experience at Escape Room LI, PadLOCKED INC. The Escape Game Experience, hosted by the amazing Lauren. From the moment we arrived, Lauren was welcoming, friendly, and enthusiastic about making sure we had the best possible experience. The room itself was incredibly well-designed and full of challenging puzzles that kept us on our toes the entire time. Lauren did a fantastic job of guiding us through the room without giving away any answers, allowing us to feel the satisfaction of solving each puzzle on our own. Not only was the room itself top-notch, but Lauren's attention to detail and passion for creating a memorable experience truly set this escape room apart. Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about our enjoyment and success. Overall, I cannot recommend this escape room experience enough, thanks in large part to the fantastic hosting by Lauren. Me and my friends do escape rooms all over long island and this is one of our favorite locations to go to. We always have an amazing time and never have any issues. Today we went and our game master was Zach. We had no issues in the beginning but through out the room he was giving repeated attitude to us. My friend had guessed a lock and he stormed into the room and asked if he hadn’t locked it correctly. When she said she guessed it, he goes “oh so that’s how you’re gonna play the game” and walked out. We escaped with 20 minutes left which wasn’t an issue but we hadn’t unlocked a lock and when he came in to get us we asked how to do it. And he goes “oh so now you care about how to unlock the locks”. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. If you go request not to have Zach because he truly made the entire experience not worth the 40 dollars. We have never had an issue with any of the other staff members though.
