It’s rare I write something negative on Google as you can see from my posts. But I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hair salon. I went in for highlights, but instead, I left with a disaster on my head. The highlights turned out to be different colors, resulting in a hideous orange hue. Despite attempts to fix it with toner, my hair ended up an awful red and then closer to black, which was not the look I wanted at all.The owner's response was incredibly unprofessional. Instead of taking responsibility for the botched job, she told me it was something I had to "deal with" and suggested I come back in three weeks for further lightening. She said it was because of my dark hair and recently touched up roots. To add insult to injury, I was also charged for two toners that did nothing to improve the situation. It's clear that this salon prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction.Although the hairstylist does cut hair well, I cannot recommend this salon for color treatments, especially if you have dark hair or previously colored hair for grays.Furthermore, the behavior of the owner was just awful. I believe she was talking about me with her client because he repeated the same thing she told me which was “You can only do the best you can and looked over at me. And repeatedly asked how the hairdresser that did my hair was doing” This is completely unacceptable.In summary, I spent $325 and left hating my hair. This salon's bad business practices and lack of professionalism have left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. I would’ve just appreciated if she told me that she couldn’t do it or that she felt like it wasn’t going to work out. I would’ve saved myself money and aggravation. The owner's response below displays a complete lack of accountability. Be cautious: if you have any hair color prior to visiting and they make a mistake, they won't accept responsibility. Despite the hairdresser being informed about dyeing gray roots black, the owner didn't even return my call when I expressed disappointment. I’ve been using professional dye joico 3n in my hair for years. My sister was an hairdresser for over 30 years and recently moved to FL, just touch up my roots not rocket science. So their manager called and verbally harassed me, joked they should've charged more for fixing their mistake and to add insult to injury, they refused to provide a refund despite my disappointment. It's disturbing to note that the owner has a history of displaying a nasty childish behavior towards clients who don't agree with her, going so far as to find them on Facebook and send them nasty messages see laura B review on yelp. I’ve been going to Shear Instincts since I was a baby. Throughout the years I have seen multiple stylists from here and have never been disappointed. All staff are highly qualified and talented. They are thorough in ensuring you get what you want. They discuss realistic expectations and provide with amazing results.

For the last few years I have been seeing Sammy. I can not say anything negative about her. She is so amazingly talented and I always leave their feeling so much more confident and beautiful. She makes you feel cared for and listens to you. Every experience I have with her is always positive and she is truly a light. She always ensures I feel comfortable with what she is doing. She manages to give me a realistic version of what I am looking for without absolutely damaging my hair. From blonde highlight to red for fall, she truly does it all. An amazing stylist and an even more amazing human.

Stefani and Kerri are amazing at what they do. They remember small yet significant details about my personal life that make this experience feel so much more than just a hair appointment. They care about their clients.

Overall every staff member is so kind and respectful. Highly recommend and wish i could give more...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this salon!!! I haven't had my hair cut in about 15 years because I've always walked out upset. Marie was nothing short of amazing! She was patient and explained everything she was doing before she did it. She also did my color, which turned out amazing. I actually walked out happy with my cut and blow out too. Her technique was something Ive never seen and was really cool ;). I have bad hair due to illness and medication and she actually made it look healthy. Thank you ALL so much. Everyone was SO nice...Kerri, the owner and Kaylee, the receptionist were great and really sweet! They give you a free care package when you leave and if you refer friends, you both get money off!
