Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Islip

I would give this place negative 100 stars if i could. 2 months ago i ordered shakes for me and a colleague and we got food poisoning from the turned milk they use. We spoke to them and they tried to offer us gift cards in replacement for getting us sick. I spoke to Paul the owner and so tonight i decided to give them a second chance and this is what they delivered to me, see attached pic and inside one of the shakes is a plastic wrapper, as seen in another pic. Oh guess what they offered me a refund and more shakes again, like i want to be poisoned or to choke to death again. The never apologize, just try to fix by offering more like that is going to fix the fact that they poisoned you or they gave you foreign objects in your drinks. They have fake reviews most likely written by friends and family members. The first time the milk was sour we got food poison, the second time they send me this and put a plastic wrapper in it. Please be very careful when buying here, specially if you have kids. I am informing the board of health, the better business bureau and i am taking them to court, they have tried to kill me...

This review is for the Carvel located at 794 Udall Rd in West Islip, NY. I'm very specific because there's no other Carvel that measures up to this location. I didn't believe it myself but this location does BOGO on large sundaes EVERYDAY! They've been doing this since they opened years ago. You don't need a secret word or handshake to get the deal. It's not for locals only and whoever doesn't ask doesn't get.. you order a large soft serve you get the other free every day of the week. They have more soft serve flavors then most. Besides the main flavors-Chocolate/ Vanilla & strawberry they offer. ( drum roll please...) Coffee, Mint, peanut butter & pistachio Like I said.. it's only this location. The owner is really nice and to do this promotion everyday for years he's in a way giving back to his community or customers. 2 large sundaes, both with hot fudge and cookie crunch and it was $9. BRING A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS FOR THE TIP JAR. I've actually bought ice cream, went home to get cash and drove back to give the workers a few bucks in...

There are 4 carvels in my area, a cold stone creamery and a few baskin robbins and this is the only ice cream place we will go to is this Carvel. The service is second to none, no matter what time you go in there or who helps you. They are friendly, knowledgeable and are always helpful. It doesn’t matter if I’m passing another place that would be more convenient, this is where I go. We even came here on trophy day for soccer and took pictures because this is my son’s treat after each game. Need a special request they will accommodate you without an attitude, as if they were waiting for you all along. I might sound ice cream obsessed… but the team here...
