The Angry Pig BBQ — Local services in Town of Lysander

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Both the food and service was excellent. I placed my order online and was given a specific pick up time. I arrived at the food truck around 5-10 earlier than when my food was expected to be ready, so I figured I have to wait a few minutes. Food was ready as soon as I walked up, despite the staff handling many other orders/customers. The food itself was excellent. I order the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top (Carolina style). One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I ever had, and Syracuse is known for its bbq. Pulled pork was cooked perfectly, very moist, tender, and a lot of flavor. The coleslaw completed the sandwich. The coleslaw was cut very finely so it fits very well on top of the sandwich, and has just the right amount of vinegar in it to give the sandwich that extra tang and crunch . I didn’t even need to add bbq sauce, there was already so much flavor in the sandwich. My girlfriend ordered the brisket and she absolutely loved it. Perfect amount of meat and fat. Even the Tater tots were amazing, extremely crispy just how we like them. Can’t wait to try the ribs next time, will be visiting the Angry Pig BBQ food truck very soon...

We had their food at a food truck event. It was stellar.

They made something sort of like a BBQ garbage plate they called “the pig plate”. Tots, mac-n-cheese, bbq pulled brisket, coleslaw and their sauces.

Every piece was excellent. Each of the parts could have stood on their own, even the tots that somehow managed to stay crispy the ENTIRE time. The mac was so creamy and it was a white cheese, not a yellow, but it wasn’t bland at all. Oftentimes, a bbq place will also do tots or mac-n-cheese because they have to round out a plate. This is not that place. You can taste each piece as a solid supporting character to the bbq, which was excellent.

A group of 7 of us went in for lunch a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday. We had been wanting to try this place out. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich no bun and an order of brussel sprouts. Hubby got a rib sandwich and mac salad. Let me start by saying that the Brussel sprouts are OUTSTANDING. They were some of the best I've ever had. The pulled pork was a bit dry, but it tends to be most places. My husband said his rib sandwich was good, not great. He did agree with me on the sprouts.
