Independent Pizzeria Phoenix — Restaurant in Town of Schroeppel

I eat at Independent pizzeria in Phoenix approximately once a week to 3 times a week, every week for lunch and dinner. Not sure who the new guy is at the counter, but he has a smile and is friendly, except he does not ask if you want the pizza warmed up at all. The first time, I went with it and was eating luke warm pizza and the second time I came in while he was working, I could see the pizza was in the warmer for a while and I asked if he could heat the 2 slices up in the oven quick. he said the warmer keeps it at 150F, so it is good and he blatantly ignored my request. I said ok, and ate pizza I paid for and I could tell it was sitting in the warmer for a while and it was the last couple slices of the pie, so I know it had been there a while as the dough starts to get a little chewy after being in the warmer for a while. That is not good service to tell the customer what they don't need, even when asking for it. As all the other people I have dealt with, have always asked, if you wanted it heated up, and are great at customer service. As a frequent visitor to this restaurant, I love the food and usually the service and pricing is good as well, but this employee needs to be taught properly, or I may not be back. The New York-style pepperoni pizza was just about what I was expecting: thin, foldable and a bit greasy. The generous amount of cheese did surprise me, though, and I liked its flavor. The crust tasted like what you get at Cam's in Watertown. Although the pie was cooked perfectly, I would have preferred more pepperoni. They advertised themselves on the toast app for delivery. It’s been there for a little while so I decided to try them out as they had good reviews. I place the order; the system takes my money and then they call me immediately saying they don’t deliver to my area but I could come pick it up if I want to. It’s a scam folks- they offer delivery, take your cash and then refuse to deliver it. Don’t be fooled and be left without your money and without your dinner like...
