Was referred to YannTech by a friend who works in SU's tech support for faculty. My Toshiba laptop was as close to deceased as you can get w/o being there. I was about to buy a new computer but decided to get a last opinion. It had 189mb left of a 500gb drive. It would lockup within mins of booting up. Made horrible noise intermittently like the drive was about to crash, my external backup drive was also crashing. The list goes on. I planned on spending $1000.00+ dollars to buy a good new one.

Walked in off street around 4:00pm on Friday. By Monday he had given it mouth to mouth resuscitation. Found almost 200gb. Cleaned up the drive put free anti-virus software, anti Mal ware software and drive cleaner software. I asked him to sell me a new external drive which he did and setup for auto backups. He has an awesome way of converting his conversation to the level of your knowledge. Doesn't talk over your head or talk to you like your an idiot. I'd had many quotes from all the usual players(Best buy, other computer companies etc) hence the reason I was going to buy a new computer. Dave had everything done by Monday but I asked him to do a few more things so Tues morning I could pick it up. All other companies wanted the computer for weeks so they could send it out. The computer works like when it was new. Real fast, software organized, no odd noises so far.

Cost $100 plus price of new Seagate 2Tb drive that was setup and the 1st backup was done. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YANNTECH AND DAVE! I would go to him for all things computer including in 2-3 years when I'm sure I'll need a new one just for advice. This computer is already...

My 2011 Macbook Pro 15" wifi stopped working randomly. Looked it up on my phone and apparently the ribbon cable that connects the wifi card to the logic board can get damaged over time. iFixit had new ones for 30 plus shipping, but I needed it ASAP. Called every computer store in Syracuse and this was the only one that had spare parts from donor computers. Called him and told him what I needed and he said he'd go find one. 30 minutes later he emailed me saying he's got it and that I can come by whenever. Dropped in with my laptop and asked if I could install it myself there to make sure it worked. He lent me tools and a work space and even helped me a bit. I worked with Dave at the shop to handle a really bad situation with my wife's laptop. He was very kind and his ability to communicate was outstanding. He price checked my replacement parts at numerous locations to ensure my total cost was as reasonable as possible. He also outlined all the different options I had and gave me his expert opinion of the option he would choose if he were in my shoes. The option he recommended wasn't even the option that would gain the shop revenue. Everything about Yanntech makes me feel good.
