Gregg's Super Market — Local services in Town of Marathon

It might not have everything and sometimes the fresh produce isnt the freshest. Over all though its great and the staff is normaly very nice. If you need help with something just ask! There are only two registers but it's not normally extremely busy.

So even though they dont have the best fresh fruit and veggies I gave them a chance and got some lettuce and grape tomatos. The lettuse was pretty small and a little wilted but after the outer layer was off it was fine. The tomatos looked great and i was impressed with how firm they were. I did find one in the middle squished and thought that it was odd that one was so over ripe when the others were great. Even so i took the bad tomato out and thats when i found this white goody, stringy thing under it. It was enough to make me throw oyt my whoke salad....

Update to my last review: Under new management this place is really beginning grow on me. The store is cleaner in general and shelves are stocked better, the meat dept is definitely better, friendly staff that is helpful. Customer service has improved. You can tell someone cares about this little store again.

I would suggest driving the extra 20 min to Cortland before buying anything "fresh" from this store. I definitely don't recommend the deli, there's a reason why's it's been closed for so long. And the staff is just miserable. It's pretty obvious that management does not care about their customers or this store. Small Town friendly and convenient...

What store advertises themselves while at another family store( dollar general) cursing at the employees, calling them racist, not even allowing the employees of DG to speak, threatening the employees, making fun of the employee for stuttering, threatening their customers when they speak up about the situation them walking out calling them racist redneck crackers while wearing your Gregg’s marketplace shirt so as long as this racist black male works at this store I will never be shopping at Gregg’s supermarket in marathon NY again great advertising by...
