Muddy Buddies — Local services in Town of North Castle

Unfortunately Muddy Buddies charged for services that were not requested. I asked for and received an estimate to groom two longhaired dachshunds.

They were supposed to do a nail trim on the third smooth dachshund. He is a smooth so he had no fur. Muddy Buddies went ahead with a bath for the smooth and charged $180 for that. $180 to groom an 11 pound dog that has no fur (!!!). The cost for the service was outrageous.

When I called to inquire about this pricing, I was given the runaround. The computers were down, the employee had to check with the owner, etc., etc. After 3 weeks they finally said they could do nothing for me.

There is a lack of transparency in Muddy Buddies’ pricing. The upselling is concerning. Seems they are more interested in grabbing every last penny they can than providing quality services, honest pricing, and keeping customers happy.

Save yourself money, grief, and your time. Wish I had never engaged with them. Will update if there is a reply from them.

EDIT: I texted the review to the owner before I posted and they didn’t respond to me at that time or do anything to make it right. Now they are shocked ?

I stand by my statement that this company values whatever they can grab, and they don’t wish repeat customers.

The service is very expensive and from the owner’s comments - blaming us further - you can see this is how customers...

UNPROFESSIONAL! I was a client for over a year and they always cancelled appointments or changed them. Sometimes they would also cancel the new appointment and would always have excuses...truck broke down, previous appointments went late, and even said our appointment time was late in the day (5pm-6pm is late in the day!?) I'm assuming most people who pay for a $130 dog cut work, so you might want to be accessible during "off hours." The final straw was when they contacted me to raise the price because my dog took "long to groom" (FYI: we always paid cash and tipped 20-25%) and then the next day they cancelled the appointment (30min before the appointment). Since then I have contacted them multiple times in every single possible way - text, email, phone, Instagram and Facebook) And they have made ZERO attempts to contact me to reschedule or respond to my many, many messages. The website says typically responds in 24 hours -- but it has now been a week with NO response. The voicemail said they are very busy due to high demand but they continue to post pictures on Facebook/Instagram. So they have time to post pictures but not respond to a client for over a year and one they cancelled on. Unbelievable!..we will be speeding the word not to use this...

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS grooming company. My dogs nails have been bleeding ever since and he has an infection. Will attach photos. Absolutely awfulllll job. I am beyond disappointed $180 for his paws to be black and his genital area to be yellow and his face (from my makeup). The owner Nicole lied and said Daniel was here for an hour that she has a gps tracker. He rushed the job in 25 mins, my pup does not even smell clean and to top it off they blocked me. The absolute worst dog grooming company I have ever used. No customer service etiquette. I will attach photos shortly. THEY ARE A SCAM. PLEASE BE AWARE! Not to mention she switched her story several times yesterday and texted me from 9:11pm to after 5pm for a simple phone call booking. I will be posting photos shortly. My pup also came out of the van shaking from anxiety. At his monthly dog groomer he is so happy and calm. They are also extremely aggressive with the dogs. Daniel definitely is;...
