Tractor supply — Local services in Town of North Collins

Technically I live 2 miles closer to the Hamburg store but it is like a world apart from North Collins. I live in a rural area and I connect to the atmosphere in North Collins better than the crowded suburban area that Hamburg has become. I have a number of different rural routes and get what I need from the North Collins store and return home faster than the trip to just reach the heavily trafficked are where the Hamburg store is located. I have chickens and extensive gardens and North Collins is better suited to my needs. The North Collins staff is much more knowledgeable about animals needs and farm related products. Hamburg is more like a glorified pet store that carries tools and clothing. The North Collins employees have a greater knowledge about the products and are very friendly and quick to help. Hamburg employees are not familiar with much other than the front end and it is difficult to get help with bulky or unusual items. We’ve been coming here since they opened and have started our homestead with many of their products. However, It would be nice if the staff could keep comments to themselves. If the sign is on, you’re open. We should be able to enter the store and grab out items without comments being said as if we don’t understand the store has a closing time. It’s like if you go here within 15 minutes of closing be prepared for the staff to make sure you know they’re gonna close as soon as you walk in the door, as if they’re closing in 10 seconds. This is a store and is open to make money. Let us spend it. The sign is lit up, we can read. Leave us alone. It gets annoying after a while. We come here from Cattaraugus and after working until 6pm.
