ALDI — Local services in Town of Norwich

Two different indecent encounters with the same cashier. After not frequenting this store for a few months we stopped to today. The cashier decided to let another customer go ahead of me while I was in line loading my items onto the belt. In the middle of me unloading my items, he looks at the woman behind me and declares “you can come ahead of her, come on up and I’ll ring you out.” A gesture that was expected of me, not one voluntarily given on my part being the customer ahead of her. Then he didn’t even acknowledge me or the kind gesture offered on his behalf. A simply “thank you for letting her go ahead of you” would have went a long way. When he gave me my receipt he didn’t even say thank you or have a nice day. When I confronted him he was feeble minded as to why I was upset, he stated “she only had a few things.” A few things or not he lacked common decency when it came to me and my family, he was also rude with every interaction I’ve had with him. He was also unjustified in his gesture, also ungrateful on my behalf of accepting it. If he would have had ask prior to entitling the woman to skip ahead of me I would have had no problem. He’s also been very rude and brash on other occasions. The first instance he was inferring my son had never “seen someone” like him, this was a huge red flag. I will not be patronizing this...

Prices are good. Staff are rude and unfriendly. Never seen anyone slam a pack of bread so hard into a cart in my life. Worst cashier I've seen after 10+ years working in retail. Man shouted that his line was closedand pushed a woman's cart away from his line, then proceeded to yell at us customers to hurry up and get in line. I watched him slam around the groceries of everyone in front of me, and did the same with mine. Snatched the money out of my hand and gave me the wrong change back. Will not be returning...
