I called to have a sympathy bouquet sent to my mother, who had just lost a loved one. It was 11:15 and they close at 12:00 on Sat., but my mom only lives 5 minutes away (I live 2 hours from her). The woman who answered the phone started off by telling me that it was "a little late to be doing a delivery..." and made it very clear that she was not thrilled about doing this for me. I explained the situation and asked if she could please help out. She then tried to dissuade me by telling me that the cost would be a minimum of $25, plus $15 for delivery. I told her this was not a problem, and she reluctantly began collecting my information. It was clear from the tone of her voice and dismissive attitude that she did not want my business. I then asked her to include white and cream flowers for the sympathy bouquet, and she insisted she had no cream, just pastels. So I asked her to use white and light yellow. When I saw a picture of what arrived at my mother's house, I was appalled! $40 for a vase full of daisies, carnations, and sunflowers! Who puts daisies and sunflowers in a SYMPATHY bouquet?? Read moreI am incredibly disappointed with this business. I have no idea what the flowers looked like when they finally made it to the sweet lady I ordered them for but the delivery was unacceptable. There was a $20 delivery fee + a $6 handling fee and they were delivered to the wrong house and left on the porch on Friday, Oct 1st. The woman that lived at that house was kind enough to deliver them to the correct address the next day. This business knew the delivery was wrong and made no attempt to correct it immediately. The sweet lady's family who was supposed to receive the original delivery was told they couldn't do anything about it until Monday. When I called the florist on Tues morning I expressed my disappointment in paying a $26 fee for absolutely nothing. I was told accidents happen. I also wanted to give my business to locals rather than some big conglomerate. Darlene was super friendly and helpful and is getting my plant to my dad well before Christmas.
