Diamond Drugs II — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

Where do I begin, I first started going to Diamond Drugs about ten years ago. Up until that time I’ve been to many different pharmacies over the years and I have had many different experiences. But of all the pharmacies that I have been to, Diamond Drugs is by far the best! Harvey and the whole staff there are simply amazing! You will not find a nicer, more kind group of people working at a pharmacy anywhere. Every time I have been to Diamond Drugs, I have been treated like family. They always go above and beyond for me and all of their customers. When you go to this pharmacy, you can feel the love, care, and respect from the staff. You feel like you are interacting with real human beings who care about you, not like other big name pharmacies where you feel like you are dealing with robots with no souls. Over the last ten years I have been through some of the toughest and darkest times of my life, and Harvey has been there for me many times and has helped me many times, and I will be forever grateful. I have been using Harvey for years. A great addition to our community. He has great knowledge about all medications, side effects and drug induced nutrient depletions. His store has all supplies as well from basic school supplies to all the necessities that the major corporate stores have except he and his staff give a personal touch.

He has stayed late for me when I was running late one time. What corporate stores do that??

During COVID-19 he practiced social distancing in his store. If not medically capable of wearing a mask due to severe asthma, COPD, anemia’s, etc he would make sure that person was the only one in the store, or his sign was clear about curbside being an option.

I have seen some negative reviews, but believe me when I say they have a personal agenda to promote only certain businesses that are in alignment with their own politics views.

My son has the flu and my wife went to this pharmacist to get Tamiflu. The manager told my wife that there is no generic brand of Tamiflu and that we had to pay full price for the prescription. The cost being 300 dollars. The prescription was for five days and after three days he finished what was in the bottle. My wife called back to let the pharmacist know that we needed more medicine to finish the full five days. The manager told my wife that we would owe him another 300 dollars to finish off the full five day prescription. After my wife told him that is bad business he proceeded to use profanity at her and hung up the phone. After I called back he did apologize for not putting the full dose in the bottle but said he would not rectify the situation and we would still owe 300 dollars. After calling the doctors office to see if we could do anything we found out there is a generic brand and my insurance does cover the full price and we would not have to pay. I believe the manager did lie to me to receive full payment and was very rude to my wife using profanity to...
