I haven’t quite had the time to provide a review on this company, seeing as though I just opened a new salon. I’d like to be quick regarding my experience but it may be impossible, as I would like to effectively inform you all of my experience, before considering the investment. Initially, I was excited about doing business with this company. My first purchase was three dryers that needed to be mounted to the wall in the amount of $550 per dryer with a $200 delivery fee. Once I receive the dryers I lifted one out of the box with the plastic still intact and realize they were extremely heavy. I figured in attempt to install the dryers would consider to be a liability to my customers so I decided to return them and purchase DIR Salon’s stand alone dryers. Ray was my sales representative. He informed me that it will be $200 to return the dryers and initially a 50% restocking fee. It would also be $200 to send out the stand-alone dryers. I would understand if I was returning in an attempt to get a refund but Ray Pretty much told me in a nutshell that this was my problem and this is what you experience as a business owner. He was very condescending rude and sarcastic. When explaining that I took the dryer from the box his reply was, “ that makes no sense, how would you know if they’re too heavy if you didn’t install them? “ It got to a point to where I was literally in tears appalled about the customer service I received or lack there of. Unbeknownst to Ray I begin to record all phone conversation that I had with him to avoid his word against mine. A guy friend of mine called him to rectify the situation and his tone with communicating to him was completely different then the rude and condescending way he spoke to me. I was able to get this situation resolved by spending 200 to send the dress back and another 200 to get the standalone dryers and I also lost the additional $150 that was the difference between the standalone and the mounted dryers. So as luck has it for me I wasn’t charged a restocking fee for Brandon and dryer’s that were never taken from the plastic. As luck would have it I already had a shampoo and bowl In route that I ordered through Amazon and we asked if we could just return it before delivery to avoid worst case scenario resolution. Ray said that it would be more than 200 shipping to do so, which their website stated they have a flat rate shipping of 200 and if spent 2500 it’s free. At this point every dollar counted. I decided to keep the washer and get it installed. Once the plumber attempted to install the shampoo bowl we realized there were a lot of gaskets and screws missing to effectively execute So I contacted Ray and yet again, he was rude and condescending. He kept stating that they delivered thousands of bowls and never had a problem. I allowed my plumber to talk to him and explain the situation and Ray told him it’s not his problem, as I have recorded. On several occasions I asked to speak to a supervisor and he would always say I will have someone some call and no one would call. I tried to send an email but the address came back undelivered to somewhere overseas. I have become so distraught over this situation because I spent about 5000 alone with this company. Throughout my process of investing in my shop I was well into a $50,000 budget, With this company being the most challenging experience that I had. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and allowed the communication to go through them Because their customer service was unethical. Ray told me that he was going to charge me $394 to return one item which was the shampoo bowl and a restocking fee even when it was their mistake. At that point I decided to seize all communication with this company and move forward with a suit. Once contacting them through Amazon and the Better Business Bureau I was able to get a refund of the full amount paid for my merchandise but it took me to go through drastic measures to resolve something that could have been done by phone once the issue occurred. I would never recommend this...
Read moreWould give less than one star for this company. I ordered Pavo electric chair at recommendation from one of the reps for my new practice. The chairs arrived with black marks and they are refusing to accept responsibility for their defective chairs. The chairs themselves look very flimsy and cheap in comparison to similar chair I ordered from Spa and equipment for the same price. They dropped off 500 lbs of freight outside the office building with defective chairs and accept zero responsibility. They want you to pay for shipping back and forth if you want the item returned and read their policy--they may charge you 30% or more restocking fee. I was sent in circles from shipping company saying they are not responsible and DIR saying---it's not damage just fingerprints. I have another chair from Spa and equipment which is much more sturdier and does not attract dirt and fingerprints like the cheap material used by DIR. Stay clear of this company. Many better ones out there--try Spa and equipment--impeccable customer service.
Here is their response: Hello,
There isn't any damages rather simple hand and finger prints, in order for anything to be picked up for return, they will need to be repackaged and placed on a pallet (the same way it was originally delivered)
DIR
So be prepared to shrink wrap and ship 500 lbs back to them AND hire movers. They will charge you 600 dollars shipping fee--back and forth and perhaps even a restocking fee of 30%. Yes, they let you eat all the costs for their fault.
The saga continues: They never notified shipping for pick up so you have to call shipping to set up the time even after DIR emails you the shipping time. My total cost to return this absolutely cheaply made chairs was 600 dollars for shipping fees and 400 dollars for movers and for movers to shrink wrap and ship the 2 chairs back. They emailed they would refund my money back and I hope they would but this has cost me my mental peace, my day of running back and forth coordinating with DIR and shipping company. So, better like your units or better have 1000 dollars or more to write it off as shipping and...
Read moreThis company are shocking in every way! I ordered 9 salon chairs and 9 footrests from them. I was told they would be 4-6 weeks... they were 16 weeks. I had 10 weeks of frustrated phone calls to them. The staff are rude, patronising and just clearly trained to lie at every opportunity. I kept asking for an honest answer but all they kept saying is they are out for deliver. When I said I wanted to cancel my order and would contact my credit card They said it would take 14 days to go back on my credit card so because they were out for deliver is get them quicker than the refund, also I was concerned if I canceled my order I may have to wait with another company too so I stuck it out. One member of staff swore at me and was extremely aggressive almost threatening, the customer care and service level is zero! I shut my salon on two occasions as they were adamant that they were coming on these occasions but they didn’t show either time. Eventually they were dumped outside (on a Main Street) with no warning when I had a fully booked salon (plus I was 28 weeks pregnant so had no way of lifting them in without organised help). 2 out of the 9 chairs were faulty and there was no footrests. I then spent the next 4 weeks trying to get replacements and the foot rests. The footrests came and one chair. I then spent a further 2 weeks getting the last replacement chair and it came worse that the original, I called up and said give me a refund for the last chair and come and get it, I sent the photos a number of times to differing numbers but I still haven’t had a resolution. If I had the time and energy id take it further but they are just a bunch of cowboys that one day will more than likely get shut down... so please nobody shop with them and this may happen sooner rather than later. I hope this helps someone decide not to use this company so you don’t have to go through the stress and loss of earnings that I did. The items are cheaper than some other companies however it isn’t worth the hassle and the quality of the not faulty items isn’t...
