One Last Look Consignment Boutique — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I have bought and sold a ton of items at this store over the years and always dismissed friends and family's comments about how they won't shop there again because of the snotty owner. Well today I got my first dose and I won't be going back. After buying a $38 button down shirt with the label missing I looked further to find out it was from Target. Nothing against Target but I have no need to buy used clothes from there. Well I went to return the item and was given more than an attitude, the owner said it was some name brand and when I showed her the tiny tag with the target logo her response was to remind me they don't take returns as she's huffing and puffing and asking for my receipt. She gave me such an attitude I took the shirt and said forget about it. BUYER BEWARE. We have a lot of choices where to spend our money and I for one, won't be spending mine there anymore. I have bought items here and loved them - as in any consignment situation all such stores have a no refund policy so that the item isn't worn or damaged further and then returned -so every now and then you get something home you decide was a mistake (is there really a woman out there who has never done that?!) but the great prices and beautiful job they do culling incredible finds is well worth it. Rude and condescending for no reason to my mom- the clerk took her items on consignment then owner called back complaining about the items. They should have politely declined them to begin with. Cheesy and unprofessional. Wasn’t about a small flaw, basically called and said she didn’t like the brand and it was out of fashion.
