Came here this morning for the first time and it was great minus one experience, to no fault of their own, but I have to talk about it. I knew I was going to get a quality cappuccino because I love the beans they use, but it exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend got a drip and the overnight oats which he very much enjoyed as well. The atmosphere was a more modern-aesthetic vibe as opposed to a cozy place, but it was still warm and inviting. I would absolutely return and try more of their many options.
So now the bad experience that pushed us to leave within 10 minutes of being there because I have a hard time biting my tongue and I would NOT have been half as nice as the people who confronted this situation. There was an EXTREMELY rude, condescending, and disrespectful customer that managed to ruin everyone’s experience in a matter of 5 minutes. She couldn’t have treated the employees worse if she tried. They were trying so hard to make sure she understood the complicated drink she was asking for wasn’t going to be what she expected so they could be sure she would enjoy her order, but she wasn’t having it. Wouldn’t listen, just argued and berated them and acted like she was being attacked for some reason.
It got so bad that customers, namely the regulars, were confronting her for ruining the environment and treating the employees so poorly. To which she said “you should all mind your business and these people should be doing their job and do what I’m asking.” Just based on how they jumped to act and strongly defend the staff, I knew that this place has a devoted community that love and respect it and see it as their sacred place of comfort and peace. The employees also handled it so, so well. Being a service worker today is one of the most difficult jobs and they deserve so much more respect and appreciation than they received. I can tell they just wanted to give everyone the best all-around experience possible, regardless if they were being metaphorically slapped across the face.
Since I couldn’t say what I wanted to say to that woman, I decided i wanted to leave a lengthy review to commend this staff and the community they’ve built. I will absolutely...
Read moreLove this place morning, afternoon, and night because it's good for every time of the day and every occasion. The nicely curated art really makes a pop. It's like a trip to MoMa. It's bright, sunny, and cheery.
There's tons of room and different kinds of seating inside with bar stools, tables and chairs (even for the wee ones) to gather for a work meeting or with friends and family. I also enjoy sitting outside because the afternoon sun there is fabulous for getting that vitamin D we all need. There's benches, tables and chairs along with nicely appointed seasonal fresh decorations.
The beverage selections: grab and go (coffee, growers, and cocktails), made to order coffee and tea (chai, green, turmeric, etc.), provide a variety with something for everyone.
The homemade baked goods are out of this world scrumptious! My favorite is the olive cake. The dark chocolate cookie with salt sprinkles is simply divine dunked in the pumpkin spiced chai latte.
There's a ton of truly beautiful preserves 5 mins from here so even if you live in the city it's such a nice day excursion. I can't think of a better way to wind down after a hike through nature. The train is literally right there. So you can get your healthy nourish on after your hike with pressed juices, yogurts, egg sandwiches, and avocado toast.
Kids want ice cream? Or maybe the kid in you has a hankering, well they have you covered in that department too. And it's so reminiscent of back home in Maine for me because it's Gifford's ice cream. The same that my mom and dad would get me when I was young up in York Beach, ME. So creamy and a lot of fun flavors.
It's such an convenient place to grab a unique card and little gift for a business thank you or a loved one.
The staff is calm, kind, friendly and personable. They are really engaged with the customers and also make sure the place is super clean all the time. I see them wiping down the surfaces quite often.
Enjoy! And let the good karma come over you.

Read moreThis brand new coffee place in Locust Valley is exactly what this town needed. Right off the bat they are cranking out great coffee, superior service, outrageous treats and have created a local hang out in a town devoid of such a thing. There is a wide variety of eats, including pastries, salads, bagel bombs (yum), and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ask about the beans, the process, the menu or the treats and you’ll learn while you enjoy great food and drink. Try the oat milk in cappuccino if cow’s milk isn’t your thing. The birthday cake scone is out of...
