Tops Markets — Local services in Town of Richland

My rating of the Pulaski Tops is more appropriately a 4.5 star rating but unable to give fractional stars. Overall, the store is kept clean, it's well-stocked, well-managed, and from what I have experienced, the majority of the staff are dedicated and hardworking - I'd say top notch. These folks are always scurrying around ensuring the shelves are stocked, and spills promptly mopped. The cashiers are pleasant, accurate and quick. Nothing's 100% all the time, but Tops is very good in my opinion. Any concerns I've had, and I've had a few minor things -- (like a small carton of half and half that went bad a week before the expiration date, they resolved my complaint promptly once I brought it to their attention.) I am not related to anyone in the store, I don't know any of the management team or store associates on any kind of personal level. I am in the store almost daily and therefore think I can give a fair assessment as I'm there at all hours of the day/evening, most days. I am also extremely pleased that they have expanded their organic (no pesticides used), non-GMO (genetically modified organisms) product line. I hope more people become aware of the importance of eating and demanding foods that are clean (free of pesticides) and pure (heirloom quality,...

I usually shopped at tops at least once a week if not more because they are close. That is the only reason to shop there. There prices are high unless you follow the ads and even then they are still high. I still have to drive to Watertown to do my actual shopping due to their high prices and due to the fact that their produce is not always that fresh and I absolutely will not by any seafood there because I got bad haddock there. It smelled so bad I didnt even cook it. It was discusting. The only thing they used to have going for them was that their service was always good. Until today. Today the cashier we had was rude and you could most definitely tell she did not want to be there. Either that or she is just rude by nature. I dont know but what I do know is since I have to drive to Watertown to do my normal shopping and to get fresh produce and seafood anyway I will now be doing all of my shopping anywhere else but Tops in Pulaski...for that matter in the future I will no longer shop at any...

The food is amazing, especially the doughnuts. Yes, there are issues ONCE and a while with moldy fruit(mostly strawberries) but it doesn’t happen often even rarely. Most damaged products are because of people messing with the food/packaging. I do work here and can confirm that customer service and all employees are friendly and respectful. To those saying otherwise, maybe you are the reason they are a little annoyed with you. I had an experience with a customer at EZ scans and it wasn’t pleasant. I tried be nice in that situation, but they wouldn’t pull through and disrespected me. That did affect me for quite a while. This is my perspective on how the employees act/are considering how the customers act themselves. Overall, amazing store! I love going here even before I started work :)...
