Whoever the older women that was at the front desk Friday at 215pm was absolutely horribly RUDE!!! I walked in with a cart and she asked if I had a membership and I said no...confused because I was in there the day before checking it out and no one said anything to me about needing a membership. So when the rude women shouts out I can't be in here. Was her exact words as she answers a phone, another older women came right up to me and apologized that the women was so rude and began to tell me what I needed to get a membership. Ummm I'm pretty sure I own a restaurant, so I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to be in there. I was sooo taken back on how rude the women was that I wasn't even paying attention to the other women explaining to me what I needed to do to get a membership that I decided to walk out and not move forward. Your employees are absolutely awful with their customer service. I was in my restaurant attire so clearly I either worked or owned a restaurant so instead of shouting out in front of everyone that I'm not allowed to be in there, maybe say nicely that I need a membership and how to go about it. I would feel awful if my employees treated our customers the way that nasty women treated me. I will say the other women who tried helping me was very sweet and apologized for the other women being so dam rude but I still decided to walk out. Yes the place has great prices but their employees are rude. Especially that older women. Take her off the front or she will continue to lose more customers. As I walked out the manager came up to me outside and apologized a bunch of times to me and was embarrassed how their employee treated me. I will still give them another chance and I'm now a member as well, but I have zero issues putting that women in her place next time I see her treating someone like she did me. She belongs home or in a hole with an...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of Restaurant Depot for years, but my recent experience at the Syracuse location (1308 Buckle Rd) was extremely disappointing. I was simply trying to purchase a case of aloe water when I noticed one was ripped and appeared tampered with. After setting it back and grabbing an intact case, an employee (who told me was a manager) approached me and rudely questioned why I wasn’t taking the damaged one.
Shortly after, another employee, claiming to be the general manager (but was actually the assistant manager), stepped in and doubled down on the same issue. He had a dismissive and condescending attitude, talking to me as if I were his employee instead of a paying customer.
This unnecessary confrontation wasted my time and made me late opening my business. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service were unacceptable. I’ve been shopping at Restaurant Depot for the convenience, but this experience has me reconsidering my membership. There are other options like Sam’s Club that I’m now looking into.
Restaurant Depot, if you’re reading this, I suggest retraining your staff at this location on proper customer service and how to treat members...
Read moreGreat location, and great store. There are however, a lot of political issues, with management. Worked as a Independent Contractor, for this location, and cannot understand, the flip sides, of favoritism. I'm a positive outgoing type of guy, love business, and love serving the customers at Restaurant Depot; however when speaking to assistant management, a lady named Lucy, totally has attitude. Because I possess, Superstar qualities, and interact with all staff, and especially customers; I truly believe, I was taking off the schedules by her that I booked myself, due to the fact that some folks just can't take that type of quality of a person, I am. It's not fair, and it's not right! But that's okay, just heads up, if you're Independent Contractor, and or looking for work at this location, be aware! They can barely keep quality people as it is, and have the nerve to try to erase my schedule, due to the fact of my high quality, and standards for this business. They can't keep good people and pay...
