Route 16 Pickleball — Local services in Town of Sardinia

Pickleball Rocks! I have played all over at many different levels. Route 16’s courts, clientele and management are absolutely Top-notch. I live in Hamburg and belong to Southtowns as well. I will still make the drive out at least bi-weekly. I have made close friends to players, workers and the management there. Shout out to Mike! He wants what’s best for any one playing and tries to keep everything level and fair at the facility. With only 3 courts it takes a special type of leadership to allow all players to feel comfortable no matter what the skill set is! In comparison to other places - he runs it very well. Between Mike and all of the picklers I have met there - I will certainly keep coming back with new players from all over!...

I’ve never experienced anything like this before. After leaving a genuine, honest review about my experience at Route 16 Pickleball, the manager, Mike, decided to ban me from the facility. Instead of addressing my concerns, he personally insulted me, even going as far as telling me I “wasn’t a man.” Absolutely ridiculous for someone in a managerial position.

It’s clear this place isn’t about providing a welcoming or professional atmosphere — more like "Mike’s Backyard Temple" where only his rules matter. If you want to be treated with respect, look elsewhere. There are plenty of pickleball spots with professional staff and a much better vibe.

I love playing pickleball and the facility is always a great atmosphere with all of the regulars. However, Mike makes this place impossible to want to come to. He is single handedly ruining this facility and what makes it fun. I went from coming 7 days a week to now coming seldomely. I feel harassed every time I walk into this place with him here.
