I took my 2016 Kia for tires and inspection. They put the tires on said they can't pass inspection unless brakes and rotors on rear are done. I said OK price. Steve said 977. So I was thinking is a zero missing nope turns out 2 zeroes were missing $977.00 for rear pads and rotors. Said they were scratched. No way so I bought pads and rotors replaced them. The rotors that cane off were a little scratched but nothing crazy the thickness was the same as new rotors and were not warped. So brought it back then he tells me fronts are bad and they said that and it was on the receipt. They never mentioned front and nothing mentioned on receipt. So I bring it back home rotors were better then back and all pads were brand new basically. So I took it to another garage. Showed them the rotors and inspection report they said that's not right. All brakes worked great passed. So them I look up NY state Law pertaining to brakes for inspection. They need to be in working and order and no excessive wear and tear. So basically to me they just wanted $977.00 for a job that cost me $200 approx and 1 hrs of time and I'm not a mechanic. I will not be going back for any work because I can...
Read moreMy wife just came home from having our car inspected. "Jeremy" led my wife to believe that if she didn't have a brake system flush that her brakes could fail on the way home. While I expect an upsell when going to these places I think his actions are unethical and he took advantage of her. He also got her to agree to a power steering flush. I have purchased all my tires for 2 cars over the last few years at this location but I'll now think twice about doing that. I hope the $180 in upsell is worth the loss of my future tire purchases.
Gave them another chance on 5/22/20 and not happy. Made an appointment for 1pm and didn't get serviced till 3. Kept taking cars in that were dropped off for the day over a scheduled appointment. What's the point of offering appointments if you can't keep them. 15 min delay - fine, 2 hour delay is unacceptable. They blamed the fact that they only had a few mechanics. You obviously knew that starting off your day and could have called to adjust appointment if you couldn't handle it. I should add that they never had the tires in stock that their website reports as in stock. Had to pick different ones than the two...
Read moreWaste of my time. I made a reservation online for a specific set of tires, which were noted "in stock". When I arrived for my 9am appointment, I was told the tires were not actually in stock, but that I could come back later in the day. I had already driven 30 minutes, and so asked for alternate tire suggestions. An alternate set was settled upon and I continued with the appointment. I was clear with the salesperson that I had limited time. One hour later, my car was still not pulled in, and I told them that I had to leave - which I did. For some, I'm sure this location is fine. For me, it was a huge waste of my time. UPDATE 1/16/2021: After my initial experience, the store manager Nick called me and apologized for the inconvenience and offered to get me back in without the install fees and an open bay whenever I could come back in - which was supposed to be noted in the computer. I called today to come back in, but unfortunately, Nick was not there, and I was told that it wouldn't be possible without a 1-2 hour wait - even after explaining the situation. So,...
