I grew up in this village and returned after many years when my husband passed. I had a bad accident 3 weeks ago and surgery to repair a fractured nose. Seven days post surgery I went in to the store to buy a few items with a mask held over my mouth. The first time I went in I told "Erica" my situations and she did not even make eye contact with me, but in a sarcastic voice said she did not know what to do as "...this had never happened before". She never even turned around to look at me from her register. So I left and came back an hour later. Holding my mask over my mouth and nose, I struggled through the aisles and collected a few things to make a meatloaf. When I went to checkout, I waited for a large order to clear and was ready to check out and leave, when the wife of the shop keeper came down from her office and from a distance said in a loud voice, that I needed to put my mask on appropriately.. After explaining my terrible accident and involved surgery, she merely repeated her litany about the mask. I told her I was not supposed to put pressure on my broken nose. Two more times she ignored my plaint and repeated about the mask..Still in pain and full of meds I told her off. Too loudly . Too ungracefully. I was told not to set foot in this store again. I am still sad that they could have asked how they could have helped me but instead were so nasty. I went to Wegman grocery and received the most wonderful service. Bob's grocery does not treat people well but locals tolerate it because they are convenient and we live far from...
Read moreWhat a crock of a store. Went there and purchased lunch for my child and the bologna was green and rotting. There is a woman there that is so SMUG it's pathetic. She has dark short hair and glasses. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. She needs to step off her high horse and realize how to treat people. I rented movies from the movie box and returned them 2 weeks late because I had a sick child at home. When I returned them she insisted I had to pay the late fee right then and there....so I did...30.00$ more than the movie was even worth. When I came back to rent again it said my account was frozen, her smug face says to me she has no control over that they freeze accounts and people that this happens to deserve it...OMG...really because shes so high and mighty and never makes mistakes.I asked for a phone number to contact the movie company and she said there wasn't one come to find out on the internet there they were and I emailed them only to receive an email right after with an apology and a 15.00 credit to my account, turns out they DONT freeze your account, THE STORE does....she lied and she's the one who froze my account...WOW...unreal sorry excuse for a human being..why she got into customer service...
Read more2 stars because it’s there in a pinch proximity-wise due to no other grocery stores allowed in Wolcott. A lot of already expired food and rotting produce. Sad we are a farming community area and the produce quality in store is this bad. Outrageously priced items ($10 for Land o Lakes butter?! Yet during a “sale” can be $4…) Would rather spend the high prices at Wegmans if I’m paying that much - at least the quality is 10x better. New owners have been friendly, but some of the other staff is rude. Glad I have other options like Aldi or Walmart on my commute because even with a great income for this area, I couldn’t afford to shop here regularly for my household groceries for 2 people. Nor would want to for the...
