The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — Local services in Trophy Club

My wife and I attend this Church of Jesus Christ with our 5 children each Sunday.

A real sense of friendship exists here amongst the families. New families are welcomed with open arms. This is a scripture based congregation. Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone of every topical discussion.

Typically most families wear Sunday best clothing. Men, young men, and boys a white shirt and tie to a full suit. Women, young women, and girls wear modest dresses. Typically long or just above the knees with tops that round the shoulders.

Though we live in a digital age and the Church offers a free app with all the scriptures and Sunday School manuals, all in attendance are invited to bring their physical paper scriptures to church especially youth if electronics will distract from feeling the Christ centered messages at church.

Church service lasts 2 hours broken up into 2 separate blocks. The 1st 1hr block families sit together to partake of the bread and water, emblems of the Saviors Sacrifice both the shedding of his blood and body on or behalf followed by assigned speakers from the congregation with spiritual messages from both youth and adults. The second hour offers many classes based upon age and sometimes gender.

During the week there are primary and youth activities and service projects on Tuesday evenings.

We are a tithing based church with no paid ministries. All ministry is without payment.

We Dry Fast for 24hrs once a month as a congregation. Typically the 1st Sunday of each month from Saturday evening to Sunday evening.
