If I could give zero stars I would. My first appt with this vet I was told nothing was wrong - that my chihuahua was overweight. 10 days later I insisted something was wrong and I was told it was pyometra. The ultrasound did not show this. All bloodwork and urine tests were normal. This visit was $700. I was told immediate surgery was needed. The email I received with the estimate and explanation of the surgery stated the deposit to schedule the appt for the surgery (that could not be explained) was $200- I was told by staff $1100 would be needed to schedule due to the “difficulty of the surgery”. I explained that is not what the email said that specifically explained the surgery and I still felt incredibly uncomfortable as nothing has been explained to me. Went to check her incision 10 days later - which healed perfectly - to be charged an additional $100 even though I confirmed the recheck over the phone TWICE. This place is a money grab. I moved all 5 of my dogs to the other vet here in trophy club and will never recommend or return. When I called and asked for all records to be transferred I was met with an attitude and no concern as to why I was leaving. This is the worst vet I’ve ever been to.

In response to vet response: this account is under my mother’s name - all 5 of our family pets come here. Nobody else spoke to my mother about penny. My email and phone number specifically were listed only for penny and she did not speak to anybody about her care. She attended both appts with me.

Whereas we expect caring professionalism from a doctor of veterinary medicine for her patients, the ENTIRE team at Trophy Club Animal Hospital are genuinely loving. I adopted my fur baby, Rastus Rossetti, in March and knew he had some health challenges so I scheduled an assessment appointment with Dr. Speed for the day he was expected to arrive. His arrival was delayed and I had to reschedule the appointment twice - no inconvenience and complete understanding was expressed by Karen and Lauren. When we arrived for his appointment, we were taken to a special cat room with a perch (and treats!) Rastus was nervous, but quickly realized that he was safe and that he was meeting new friends who wanted to take care of him. I was deeply touched by the words of affection Sydni used to reassure Rastus and he clearly liked her. Dr. Speed was wonderful with him, too, and developed a step-wise treatment and testing plan for Rastus wherein he was tested and treated for his acute problems first. Last week, he has a follow up appointment for the next steps in his treatment plan, and our experience was the same. In fact, as I had to drop him off, Lauren kept him company and told me how loving he had been with her while they were waiting for Dr. Speed to see him. She does it again. Dr. Rachel Speed and her staff at Trophy Club Animal Hospital are truly amazing! It is so comforting to know we’re getting sound advice and the highest level of care each and EVERY time I visit with Dr. Speed. That peace of mind is priceless to me! I appreciate that she can effortlessly communicate stuff in ways I can actually understand, while consistently providing the most compassionate care in the toughest situations. Her staff is warm and friendly, and the clinic is very clean. I can truly feel how much they care. It’s hard to explain, but once you experience the difference at Trophy Club Animal Hospital, you’ll have an entirely new standard of care...I promise! Dr. Speed has never steered me wrong in all the years she’s helped with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Graeser, and now with our Morkie, Rudigar! It’s been a long time since we’ve had a puppy, so I had questions I felt ridiiiiiculous asking, but Dr. Speed immediately put me at ease and explained so much in a relatively short amount of time. I just can’t explain how awesome it feels to know Dr. Speed is there when I need her, whether it’s for routine care, to single-handedly save our dog’s life, or the latest — Toy Breed Puppies 101.
