I heard on the news (TV) that Kroger had a Senior Hour: 7 am - 8 am, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. An employee at the store said they don't have a Senior Hour. All Kroger stores changed their closing time from 10 pm to 9 pm. starting Saturday, 3/21/20. However, this store in Troy on Crooks Rd. and South Blvd started one day earlier, Friday 3/20/20 - very frustrating when we got there at 9:45 pm found them them closed. This store does not comply with the hours mentioned in the news media. The Customer Service Desk has a lot to be desired. It is understaffed. You might wait in line for several minutes because they usually only have one person working at the desk. Often times, there is nobody there. I've waited up to 10 minutes sometimes for somebody to come. They definitely could use one of those desk school bells that you could tap to get their attention. If you need help in the Produce section, good luck finding someone. They need a call button or phone for customers that need assistance. Also, the store needs more price scanners and the 2 that I know of are not easily found or identified. Good luck finding them. Employee morale appears lower compared to when previous management (Bob Smith, he was great) ran the store. The best part of the store is their pharmacy. Mark, Nermean and Lyn do an excellent job of processing my prescriptions and answering any questions...
Read moreThis Kroger is exceptionally slow at checkout.
1-2 lanes are open, with 6 self-checkout lanes. Self-checkout routinely has 5+ people in line (halfway down the seasonal candy aisle) and a 10 minute wait. 50% of users have an issue with self checkout, causing the single attendant to constantly scramble between frustrated customers.
Your prices aren't low enough for me to wait in line to work for you for free. There's 20 grocery stores within 5 miles from me; they don't have this problem. Fix it.
EDIT: I just came back to give Kroger a review, and found my old review. Apparently nothing was changed. Anyways, I'm back to leave another review because, in addition to having to ring up my own groceries and have a loyalty card in order to receive sale prices, I also need to clip digital coupons throughout the store, and log into an ADDITIONAL site to manage the coupons I just scanned. At this rate, they're gonna have me stocking shelves on my next visit.
The Kroger customer service line is 1-800-KROGERS.... but don't call it, because they just hang up on you....

I recently visited Kroger hoping to pick up some flowers, but my experience was far from satisfactory. Arriving around 3:30PM, I found the selection quite limited, which was already a bit of a letdown.
Hoping to make the most of what was available, I asked the customer service representative if someone from the floral department could assist me with wrapping the flowers. To my surprise, there was no one available. I even offered to wrap the flowers myself if they provided the materials, but this was also denied. The representative said she would call someone, but at that point, I decided to just forget about it.
Overall, the lack of selection and the inability to get any assistance, even with a simple request like wrapping flowers myself, was extremely disappointing. It's frustrating when a store can't provide basic service, especially in a department known for its aesthetic appeal. I left and will likely consider other options for my floral needs...
