New York Burgers and Grill — Restaurant in Troy

The food was great and I went to try the shrimp omelet and that was better than I expected. The place is clean, nice design, a lot of seating, get food in great time, menu has tons of options. So many offers my family member needed extra time to choose but we were both impressed with the offerings. The waitress was nice,patient and answered all of our questions. The owners were not so much but maybe a bad day or their talents are in the food but not hospitality. They were not rude or mean but other than the waitress the owners just stared at us. I will try again at an earlier time or just take out because I still believe in small business and hope it was just a rough day but excellent food. Try the shrimp omelet. I loved it and will be my go to as long as a better impression the next time.

The issue and why 4 stars: We arrived a about an hour before close and we asked if we were too late. The waitress so come on in and have a seat anywhere. The owners were sitting at a table across the way. We were celebrating a bday so were talking and eating but 15 minutes before close the female owner turned towards us and just stared. We both noticed and tried to not look her way. We paid and left and when we got into the vehicle it was 8:08 and I have a disability so we left right around close. We would have went somewhere else but I try my best to support small businesses and did not have time to take pictures of the interior but it was...

I’ve been a Troy resident for 35 year and frequented New York Burgers and Grill since it opened. It pains me to write this because I used to enjoy going there. The food is still decent but here is the problem. New York Burgers and Grill is a local family diner and a diner should provide decent food at a good value. They do not provide food at a good value. The last time my wife and I ate there we got a medium Greek salad, an omelet with hash browns and a diet coke. The bill was $31.47 plus $6 for a tip. That’s crazy, almost $40 for a salad and omelet breakfast. One more thing is the bill is always confusing to understand what you pay for each item you order. Even though last time we only had three items it was unclear and seemed like they added an extra cost (yes I should have questioned the bill but I looked at my wife and said don’t worry about it, were not coming...

Love, love, love this place. The people are so nice and the food is so good. Best burgers...I don't know what the secret is! We order a burger patti instead of bacon or sausage for breakfast here. This is our family's family place. Pre band concert dinners, birthday breakfasts, lunch with friends. It is great for anything.

All the ladies here are always so sweet to our family. My son has a favorite booth! He left a matchbox cars one night and they handed it to him when he walked in on another visit. So nice. We eat here once a month, maybe twice in a month sometimes. So it's not like we are there everyday but they know us and we always feel welcomed.

My favorite things...The Manhattan burger and the pecan waffle!!!!! Their chicken wings are so good too. Everything is yummy. Try it out if you are in the area. Hidden...
